45-50 million is fair(ish) but 75 million, that's just bonkers!
I’d agree, I’d say that was Levy trying to involve Martial in the deal. I wouldn’t have a problem with any figure north of £45M.

Keep dreaming if you can get above 30m for him by selling abroad and this is assuming he wants to go abroad . Its not like too many top teams are interested anyways.Or we can sell him abroad this summer. Just because there has been a lot of media attention in this country concerning a United deal, it doesn't necessarily mean that there's no interest from elsewhere.
There was one poster explaining that he was really bad at Atletico. Only played like 12 games in 2 years. No managers of big team would touch him there.A little from column A, a little from column B.
What is a fact is that LvG dropped a massive bollock by not signing him from Atletico when he was being sold for almost nothing.
But apparently you're better without him now.I’m loving the “we don’t have much option” stance, if United want the player cough up the fee £45-50M in this market is fair IMO. An established top CB, most say as one of the best in Europe and arguably the best in the PL.

Dealing with Levy is cumbersome to say the least... It might take a while to negotiate a good fee (if at all).
A certain other Spurs fan...Who says that, I certainly don't, if I would be over the moon.
The thing the resident Spurs fans don’t seem to understand is the appeal playing for United has for players.
Look at Matic, desperate to join Utd due to the tradition, aura etc. Spurs are a big club domestically but don’t have anything like the appeal of a club like United.
Like it or not, that becomes a factor when players are nearing the ends of contracts.

I get that totally, your still an elite club I think most Spurs fans would agree. The thing is its simply not so easy just to bulldoze your way to signing a player like United used to be able to do.
Toby for £35M plus one of Jones or Smalling. Wages will work and they get cover if stuck! No way Spurs can afford the 80-100M for Martial, to warm their bench. It's all posturing, Toby's leaving, better to let him go it just sours up everything soon as he's back!

Yeah spurs don’t want any of those lads just like we shouldn’t be still relying on themLol it will be a cash deal.

You think anyone will pay you £75m for Toby? I wonder who’s the more deluded. You think any club is going to pay you £80m - £100m for Martial? You're in for a rude awakening if so.
If Sandro signs a new contract, then I think this will have a knock on effect as we'll end up buying a different centre back and Danny Rose for left back. I hope I'm wrong, but I can't see both Alderweireld and Rose coming to us in one summer.
I dont think Rose will be our 2nd choice.
Ideally they won't and he simply won't leave, despite all the rumours (paper talk) Martial doesn't seem to have kicked up any sort of fuss about leaving. Martial getting linked away from United is like us always getting linked to Ronaldo coming back, it's fairly unrealistic imo.You think any club is going to pay you £80m - £100m for Martial? You're in for a rude awakening if so.
If they want Shaw they can have him for 50-70m then, or Kane. It's about the same as them wanting Martial or that kind of money for Toby. Perfect world we would trade them Shaw for Alderweireld, potentially a good deal for both.
I guess because he is english, still young, and under the right manager could be the best LB in the league. He has more talent/potential than say Robertson and a lot of other LB in the league. Just because he doesn't have what it takes to succeed at a club like United doesn't mean he should be worth less money than the likes of Stones etc.Why would anyone value Shaw as anything more than £15m or so?!
The most appearances he's made in a season for United in the 4 full seasons he's been is 20, his contract is expiring next summer, and Jose constantly tells the press he's awful and, for the most part, does as much as he can to make him look like a player you wouldn't want in your team.
Fair enough he was decent at Southampton and could reach that ability and higher again - but so far he looks like another Bojan, or Giuseppe Rossi.
Never seen him play, what's he like? You just reminded me of a clip I saw of him the other day breaking multiple with one pass. Pretty incredible.Think we should go for Benjamin Pavard instead. Best case scenario - we sign him to fill both RB and CB needs and Tottenham has no leverage over us signing Toby.
Same goes for £70m for Toby. You think any club is going to pay you £80m - £100m for Martial? You're in for a rude awakening if so.

He's a significant upgrade on all our center backs. No brainer to go for him. Just don't expect him to have any loyalty, he didn't to Southampton and I don't expect him to do so with Spurs.

If we sign this guy, surely we have to start offloading some of our other CB's. We cannot have 6 on the books. Rojo, Lindelof and Bailly under must threat I imagine
