Very good. That's actually not a bad shout. He's already proven himself capable of carrying our midfield.

Not sure I agree with that. After Scholes retired out midfield became built around Carrick and so he stood out more. That's he big difference I think.
The majority of those who big him up have only seen him play on Youtube. That's where the fuss is coming from.Watched him against Nice yesterday and tbh not sure what's all the fuss around this dude?
I am the first one to call him "Fellaini esque plus" in this thread back in summer having seeing for some game last season. Here is the good Fellaini in first few game at the start of the season. That's not quite bad if you consider how Fellaini is workable, and this guy has more in his locker. RoJones is a revelation and would be a better platform for this upgrade. We definitely lack energy in this side. The covering distance stat in this case does tell the truth and this guy maybe a help to fix that problem. The majority of those who big him up have only seen him play on Youtube. True hahaWhich is only a marginally less shitty way of judging a player than basing your opinion on watching him play a single game.
Bakayoko has turned down a contract extension.
Stretching it a bit.Interesting...

Not to be harsh on tFabinho's father: "We like Manchester United & Mourinho's work, but we have a soft spot for Manchester City." (J+1)he lad but he's just a slightly smaller, but faster and more agile version of Fellaini. Modest passing skills at best and not very confident with the ball in his feet.
Tbh if we're to sign someone from Monaco, I'd much rather we sign Fabinho.
Interesting qoutes from Fabinho's father on twitter saying that Utd, City and Arsenal have all enquired about Fabinho.
He then went on to say : "We like Manchester Utd and Mourinho's work, but we have a soft spot for Manchester City."
What a statement. We like UTD but have a soft spot for Citeh. How's that even possible, we couldn't be more different? He's just fence sitting, weighing it out who'll pay more money to him.
I dont think this is really the case anymore, City dont pay more than we do anymore. In terms of wage (on average) we probably pay the most in the entire world. Average players earn a lot here in red Manchester."On a personal level we like Manchester United, but City have indicated they'll pay more money"

Agree. It might be a case of Pep saying 'You are the key to my plan. You play in my two favourite positions, full back and midfield. We need you to complete my masterpiece. If we have lots of players out injured, we will play you in 3 different positions' or summat like that.I dont think this is really the case anymore, City dont pay more than we do anymore. Who couldn't be charmed by their rich history? There is just no way that is true.
Seems to be a thing now with young players...Who couldn't be charmed by their rich history?

Great news if we are indeed interested in him. His present contract is till 2019. So if he doesn't sign a new one, Monaco will be looking to sell him this summer.Tiemoué Bakayoko rejects initial contract extension offer from AS Monaco
AS Monaco central midfielder Tiemoué Bakayoko has rejected an initial contract extension offer from the Principality side, according to Le Parisien journalist Florian Fieschi.
The French midfielder is the subject of summer interest from Chelsea and Manchester United, and there is currently a bit of tension between Monaco and the player concerning their situation.
I'm not going to lie but I like the look of Franck Kessie way more. He's a more rounded B2B imoThe more I see of him the more certain I am that he's not what we need, not good enough on the ball or positionally, at best he'd be Ander's cover.
Which is exactly what we need, no? Our current midfield cover is Fellaini., at best he'd be Ander's cover.

In an ideal world, sure. But Mourinho has recently said we won't be pushing for unrealistic targets, and I don't think we'll find a midfielder who is good enough to be pushing Herrera to the bench, unless said player wants a transfer or we splash the cash.Would it not be better to get an upgrade on Herrera and let Herrera be the cover?
Should get a Carrick replacement and Andreas come back into the squad.Which is exactly what we need, no? Our current midfield cover is Fellaini.
I mean for me 'midfield cover' just encompasses an additional midfielder.Should get a Carrick replacement and Andreas come back into the squad.
