What we've been watching for the past two years has been a chaotic mess on the pitch. I'll take some conservatism for a season or two, especially on the road.
So your willing to change managers every 2 years? Why not just start a fresh with someone we think can take us to a new level and build an exciting team playing proactive football. It shouldn’t be that hard to find. Just because we’ve been awful for the last few years it doesn’t mean we should accept something that’s not good enough but not as bad as we’ve been seeing.

Ornstein said a while back that Tuchel wouldn’t be a top choice for United

If they’re getting a new manager I think it might be someone who hasn’t been seriously linked yet

Tuchel seems a bit psychologically unstable. Brilliant potential but he’d likely crack under the pressure at Old Trafford. Best to stick with ETH if he were the only alternative were TT.

Sounds to me like Jim did meet Tuchel and told him we’re going a different direction.

Now Tuchel is briefing that he never fancied us anyway.

Chooses to take a meeting and then decides he'd rather have a break

I'm curious. What in your opinion is good football ? Who would you get to mange us instead ?
Well pochettino plays decent football, not saying I’d have him though but if we’re going of managers that play good football then he’s higher than Tuchel. They’ll be tons of managers out there, you just need to look and scout. Look at Brighton for example they always bring in managers to fit their way of playing hence why their giving an unknown manager a chance from ST Pauli

Disappointing. If INEOS do decide to sack ETH then Tuchel was the best candidate out there to replace him. That’s one less manager standing in the way of Southgate getting the job, I’d even take Poch at this point. Anyone but fecking Gareth!

Ye I’m with you on this one. They could have spoken to a few under the radar. All the links coming out for the obvious ones but it could be none of them. If I was going to pick a manager out of the blue and give a chance to it would he Inzhagi from Inter. Plays good football and he’s a winner.

Southgate is a disaster already written. The right coach for Manchester Utd is De Zerbi. If you sign De Zerbi you can open a cycle.

Who does If he doesn’t ? He’s the most successful of all the rumours

Non of them are appealing to be honest, but you can't just hire someone like Tuchel just because he is the least worst option.

Personally of all the options left that we've been linked to I'd go for Poch, he just seems like a better fit.

Keeping Ten Hag doesn't seem like an option now.

Absolutely would go for Inzaghi. I’d like to think United and Berrada could get a deal like that done. I want those Southgate rumours to die this week

This opinion confuses me. Do you think Madrid play attractive football ? This whole notion of having 70% possession and playing like Barca/Arsenal/City to be considered good football. We never were that and never have been that. All these fans of United clamouring for possession based football must have lived in some alternate world where we were playing the most attractive football in the world under Fergie.

Why would he go to that meeting in the first place, if he wants a break from football?

I'm sure most managers would cut a break short if the right club/project came up for them. That's what happened when Klopp took the Liverpool job, for instance.

Out of respect of been asked … he may cross paths again in the future or even next season if ETH is given another year …who knows

Wouldn’t be surprised if we have an agreement with someone else. We may have met with a few managers along with Tuchel and made our decision. I’d expect things to happen quickly tomorrow either way.

I don't buy that Fabrizio tweet anyway. Either we didn't offer him the role or he's taking the job. He's blatantly come out saying he wants to return to England, never once said he wants a break and had a meeting with Jim last week.

When German media says the same thing I'll believe it.

He was easily the safest option if we were to sack ETH. Now it just seems strange to sack the manager that’s won 2 cups and 3rd position in 2 season and replace him with a mid table manager in De Zerbi or a bottle job in Pochettino
