Thomas Müller

Only way this happens is if Pep has an agreement to take over here from Van Gaal and he slowly sells us their best players. Otherwise this transfer is literally impossible.
   stop it....stop stop....

He is good at pin pong, sign him

They had Neuer and him as guests in China's biggest TV sports show yesterday (gets broadcasted next week) and all seem to have had a lot of fun - including him dancing...

and the meeting today with 2 Ex-WorldChampions and the national tabletennis coach of China was broadcasted live in China...

Signing him will be a real surprise, and positive one in fact.

Muller would finish our attacking jigsaw :)

Let me clarify, I like him as a player. He is top drawer, right up there. I think he will improve us no doubt, but I need help in understanding one thing:
Him and Rooney will be our first two strikers in the team, with Chicha and Wilson(at least as of now) as back up. Let's say we lose Rooney for a few games, in the big/tough games are we happy with Muller as our main striker up top? Does that seem like the jigsaw is completed?
We will spend 60m+ on a player to cover a position and yet be playing with chicha/wilson in our starting line-up. How does this make sense? If we did not have Mata and did not have extra CMs who could play as the CAM/no.10(like herrera and fellaini), then yes, Muller and another striker(with work rate like rooney, plus a back up for the striker) would have made a lot of sense. would have been perfect.
You don't say no to players like Muller, i know. But, when you need to break the bank and break the bayern resolve(which is not happening), for a player who is not actively looking to leave, you do that for a player who fits in your team perfectly. In this regard ADM was a good buy, cause we did need a winger with raw ability.
I think we will buy muller and yet not have balance in our squad and also lack strength in depth.
Lose Mata(which I don't want), Fellaini and then get Muller and a back-up striker. This will make sense.
If we are willing to pay a shit loads of money to bring a player like Muller from a club like bayern, then, we have a better shot at getting Lewandowski/Benzema/Cavani/Kane. I would rather have us look at that.

Obviously a great player. I do agree £60m is clearly excessive, for that amount of money you want someone who can either destroy defences single handedly or dictate the pace of/control a game, neither of which are Thomas Muller.

I love him as much as the other guy but he is not a 100 mil player and quite frankly it makes no sense to try and take away a player Bayern clearly won't want to sell just for the sake of relationship between the two clubs.

€100m would be £70m.

I love Muller, 100m euro is what, 70m?

Hmm. It's a bit much.

This is one of those transfers that I will refuse to believe is true until about 20 minutes into his debut game. Until then, not a snowball's chance in hell that this happens.

PS. Let's get Neuer too!

I'd happily spend that money on Muller if we have it. A bargain compared to the amount we spent on Di Maria (though that probably isn't a fair comparison).

I really would not care what we need to pay for him, he'd be worth it. Never going to happen though, any journalist reporting otherwise is stealing a living. Van Gaal isn't that dumb to keep making offers, he knows Muller isn't going anywhere and that Bayern don't need money.

It would take a transfer request IMO and Mr Bayern will not be doing that any time soon.

I'd be shocked if we have actually a made a bid as that would indicate Muller has indicated he'd want to become which I just cant believe.

Regarding the fee, 70mil for Muller? I'd be happy if we broke the world record if it meant we get him.

100m for muller is insane, i don't care about money at all since it's not mine, but this would inflate the market beyond repair.

Signing Muller would be a way bigger surprise than signing Falcao.

I have never heard Muller say anything about wanting to leave Bayern and they clearly dont want to sell, but a £70m bid is something that should make them seriously consider selling him....that is crazy money.

I don't believe it but want to. Don't care how much Muller costs, the guy is absolute class and should try everything to get him

not sure what people's obsession with this is. Houses in Mayfair (London) costs more than in Derby - let's get over it.
Esp when City have Arab multi-billionaires (£49m for Sterling = 1 days work), Roman at Chelski and we keep smashing revenue/profit numbers....

If we spend £70m then I suspect it would mean we would want to recoup some money by selling ADM.

Rather sign Bale. Not that I don't rate muller highly. But I think Bale would be a better buy at that price.

He's worth the money, but I think at this point it might be easier to get Messi than him. No chance in hell Bayern sells, but the good part is that if we bothered to make an offer, the player didn't reject us from the start, so who knows what the future holds.

We're in a good position of strength due to the current exchange rate though. It's "only" 60 million, which isn't much more than we paid for Di Maria, and less than the cost of Bale

€100m is £69.6m. It's a feasible amount but given the reluctance Bayern would quite clearly have, I can't see this one being achievable.

Get the feeling he's most definitely on our list of striker, perfect world signings, but this could be a cold trail leaked to the media while we work elsewhere. Just smells of being clearly too unrealistic but fantastical enough to move press focus, create impressions elsewhere and turn the screw on other targets.

Don't get me wrong though, if Mr Muller and his agents wanted it. We'd be throwing money around like that fan in the dome of the final part in Crystal Maze.
