It's not desperation but in the last 6 months arguably bayerns top 3 players have sounded out united as their top & most likely destination.
First it was robben, then schweinsteiger and now possibly muller.
It cant be a coincidence and i personally think that Guardiola has a particular leniency towards van gaals tactics with minute changes. It might be obvious to the bayern players who would then sound out working with van gaal himself. In my eyes van gaal was just as important to bayern's success as he was to barcelona's but the latter team went on to win so much that any reverence to LVG becomes problematic;especially since cryuff had used similar tactics from years gone by.
I mean look at memphis & schweinsteiger; its clear that although they may be fascinated by our club they clearly move for their ability to work with van gaal.

There is no way this is going to happen. Bayern have already come out and told their fans that they won't let any more players leave them for Man Utd after Bastian. Their fans will go crazy if they sell Muller now.

Muller clearly wants to come, Pep wouldn't mind too much, reading between the lines. It all depends on the power of Karl-Heinz Rummenigge to impose his will at the club. I get the feeling now that this could actually swing our way with a huge serious offer.

I think there are very few players I'd just classify as ungettable regardless of the amount, Muller is one of them. Messi would be the only one less gettable than him imo. Neymar a close 3rd.

I was pretty sure that Schweinsteiger will go to United at that time, too. It was really nothing surprising. I was a lot more surprised that the people here only slowly jumped onto the ship. The most ridiculous transfer rumours got a lot more interest in the beginning than the Schweinsteiger one did...

Müller is unavailable, Munich won't sell him, not this season aynway. Strange that this is still discussed.
