From my very limited experience (i.e. just Champions League), whereas Martial specialises in ghosting past players with his sticky-feet dribbling, Lemar's strength lies more in his crosses and passes in the final third. I'm sure others have greater insight though.

I call bullshit. Perisic and him couldnt be any different.
He's a good player but what's the point when we've already got Martial/Rashford wasting away on the bench.
I didn't mind the thought of Perisic thinking he can play on the right wing too, but lemar isn't 2 footed.

Not particularly but I've always said any manager coming in deserves at least two years and this is his season to show us he is better than what he showed last season. I hope he does a lot of things differently but if he doesn't start embracing the United ways he won't last long next season.

Lemar has played on the right, left and in centre mid for club and country and offers something fundamentally different to Martial and Rashford.

Didn't know Mendes was Lemar's agent. If that's the case, then take this with a pinch of salt, considering past reputation.
Not so long ago we had a thread about improving corner taking and this lad is a specialist, not to mention a superb team player.
Mendes isn't his agent according to this, but Mendes does have an association with us/Monaco and was an intermediary in us getting Martial from them.

I don't remember ever seeing Lemar on the right flank last year? he was always on either the left or in a LCM slot in a 433.
He's more of a "left sided midfielder" than a winger, really not somebody we are crying our for. The fact our LB won't overlap him either like Mendy did for Monaco will be hard to replicate.
So if we get him, we will have at least 3 players competing for every attacking position.

He swapped with Bernardo Silva freely in many games in much the same way he did with Dembele most recently against England. He's obviously not a player that lacks the skill, intelligence or physique to play across the width of the pitch.
I think he's a lot like Giggs in his latter years and we could 100% do with another Giggs.
What kind of winger is he? Can he beat a player and knock in a cross or is he more like Mata?
We could do with a young Giggs. I'd rather pass on a Giggs in his latter years. Playing Giggs as CM/CAM at 35 epitomised the under-investment in our midfield for years.
He's one footed and is 5'7... Not too sure about him. Rather not deal with Monaco who are not interested in selling and this may drive up the price. I would consider Draxler... 6'2 and he's equally good with both feet and more importantly, PSG are looking to get rid of him which means he won't be too cheap. He would be a much better acquisition than Perisic.
Even at 35 playing next to Carrick, he was easily our most creative player during that time. With his ability to run with the ball and see the final pass.
Would be delighted if this happens. He's very talented.
I would compare him a bit to Kevin De Bruyne when he plays on the right wing. His key attributes are his intelligence and good passing/crossing.
He won't get the ball, throw a couple step overs and speed on the outside of a fullback, but he will work a few passes, get into a good position and whip in a decent cross or play a through ball.
Best thing to do is watch a youtube video of his assists and you'll get the idea.
Decent young player, but suspect it's agent-driven as we're known to need a wideman. Arsenal will probably up their bid- not like they've shown any sign of trying to keep their star players who have contracts running down. Their lack of ambition may as well be a club motto
Giggs at 33 was the architect of one of our greatest performances in European history, was one of our best players throughout the season and was rightly named in the PFA team of the year. It's his performances when he was in his late 30s that have made people forget that.

I just don't find it plausible United starting rumours for the sake of preventing a rival selling to another rival, and similarly I don't see said rival altering their transfer plans last minute because of United rumours.
Lemar would be a great buy, i hope this is true, Duncan has been great this year, the only thing is he is saying we are considering moving for him and not moved yet. Which is dissappointing as only 14 days of window are left. It could also be a tactic used to shock inter into lowering their demands for perisic. We will get more clarity tomorrow in the press conference.
