No we can't. Amazing point. But a left footed player who can cross the ball and take set pieces is exactly the type of player United need. If he is available, and United don't go for him, they must have looked at him and decided against it. Hence they're allowing him to go somewhere else.

Then you have to trust our judgment, in that either he's not what we need or doesn't possess the qualities.

He's fantastic. Would be terrible if Liverpool got him. fecksake.

From what I've seen of him, he isn't a traditional hug the touchline type winger. He plays on the left but much more narrow from what I saw last season. He would have Mendy bombing on keeping the width.

Possible but unlikely.

You also rate Martial very highly isn't it? Signing Lemar means one of our most talented player playing even less. I don't think we should be targeting left wingers, our problem is with right wingers.

Has anyone said we should be all over this yet?

You should be all over this.....

You can't possibly allow him to go to Liverpool (despite the fact United have never been linked to him);)

In the Monaco formation yes. But he's fast, all left foot and can actually cross the ball. If Liverpool sign him, they'll have bought (for me) the best Monaco player to leave this summer.

Liverpool can sign whoever they want they've still got the likes of mignolet, Loren, Moreno, matip in defence.

Why on earth klopp hasn't addressed that in 2 major windows I'll never know.

Not entirely sure where he fits in...he'd be a great Coutinho replacement, but if Coutinho's still there then trying to fit in Coutinho, Mane, Sane, Firmino and Lemar sounds pretty difficult. Great for the squad obviously, but they all should expect to be guaranteed starters at all times.

Matip is a good player.

We did buy Karius and Robertson. And god wiling, will buy VVD before the window closes.

Moreno was alright yesterday. Only one brain fart.

They nearly won the title with a terrible defence in 13/14 so they can definitely challenge even if their defence isnt great.

I think it is pretty obvious he is going. It's been FSG who wanted to keep him, not Klopp.

What a ridiculously pretentious and self-entitled post.
We certainly have the funds to outbid you and offer a higher wage. Unless there's any indication that he has any special attachment to Liverpool or Klopp, it stands to reason we'll have a much bigger chance of signing him if we're interested. No?

If it makes your dick hard to imagine how you could certainly feck these birds if you wanted to whilst someone else is actually doing it, by all means, keep it up.

Do you, though? I mean, after already having spent 150m?

So Wenger says the deal is dead because Monaco doesn't want to sell too many players. And then Pool go for him.
If Pool get him, that ll be another slap on Wenger.

What did I say that wasn't true? United have more resources than Liverpool and (you would assume given United can pay him more) that the player would prefer to go to United.

It's just the same boring argument people use against Liverpool and City when they go out to sign very good attacking players. It's not like either team hasn't been strongly linked with defenders either.

There's no indication at all that United are even interested in Lemar, I was just pointing out the financial facts. If it makes you butthurt that there are many clubs who have more financial strength than Liverpool (and United are one of them). Too bad...

We would have signed Perisic and Antoine if circumstances went our way.
We have money ffs! Jose publicly courted Bale 3 weeks ago

We were widely reported to be willing to spend 90m on Griezmann.

Well, if that's the case, then perhaps you do. As it stands, we look likely to spend big on both Keita and Lemar, so apparently our pockets aren't as empty as I was fearing.

I don't doubt that you do.

He probably would.

Seems it's between them and Arsenal, and, well, you'd be mad to sign for Arsenal right now.
Especially if he sees that Liverpool will let their stars go for the 'right price' and Arsenal won't.

Oh. I thought the deal was off now Dembele's gone. Lost track of things...
