Have a feeling Bryan will put over Reigns big time and say he deserves the WM main event or something.

Rollins is a great heel when he talks.
Then he wrestles and gets cheered.

Also they are letting Reigns talk like a man today :)

Edit: also no way they have reigns vs bryan at Fastlane. Right?

Orton to return and cost Rollins would be perfect.

But I still fear this is still heading for Reigns vs Lesnar.

Ok Big Show coming out. Time to sleep and watch through this tomorrow with the ability to forward.

Curtis Axel has set a record for longest time in a Royal Rumble ever. Lasting over a week in the 2015 edition.

I didnt watch Raw but its going to be Bryan vs Reigns at Fast Lane. Interesting choice even though I think Bryan will put Reigns over big time but I am quite intrigued.

My initial reaction was they'll turn Reigns heel at Fast Lane. The other option would be a double DQ with both going to the main event, but Triple Threats for two WM events in a row and the title match at Rumble seems excessive. A lot might depend on if Lesnar stays or goes back to UFC, if he stays then beats Reigns cleanly at WM then creative can spend months building up to a rematch, give Reigns the chance to win over more fans, improve his in ring/mic skills and erode the resentment a lot of people have for him being pushed way too soon.

Who am I kidding, he'll kick out of 3 F5s and win, ushering in reign of terror to match Cena's

Triple threat with Bryan winning wouldn't surprise me. Seth cashes in, and wins. Reigns feuds throughout the summer with Rollins and wins title at SummerSlam.

A heel winning the title at Mania. When did that last happen?

Just a reminder

Are you always this miserable when a business makes a simple business decision?

Reigns is over to the VAST majority of fans, just as Cena is. Why wouldn't they want another Cena? The only man to make them more money was Steve Austin ffs.

A little fyi, the Rock (the babyface) was booed when he faced Brock in 2002. It's nothing new that babyfaces are booed against someone as impressive and entertaining as Brock.

Why would they make it triple threat again? Even moreso have Bryan win?

Talk about wasting the Undertaker's streak.

Miz vs Cena.

Miz vs Cena.[/QUOTE]

Miz was already the champion right?

An interesting point.

Both Rock and Austin, in their prime, lasted around three years at the top. In other words, they didn't stay around long enough to become dull and predictable. It should also be noted that the Rock, as a face, was beginning to be boo'd in almost exactly the same way Cena is now; Rock was smart enough to go heel and ultimately leave the company.

It has always been this way. You stay face long enough to be refused by the fans who grow tired of your schtick. I'm not one of these that believe the champion should be the best wrestler. Afterall, what is good for business isn't necessarily what is most aesthetically pleasing to fans on a pure wrestling level. When you realise that a large part of what makes WWE money is what draws kids to buying merchandise, attending PPV's and House Shows, often the spectacle of visually aesthetic characters is what brings in the numbers.

I don't particular love Cena matches, but I do enjoy Bryan matches, however, it's Cena that draws obscene amounts of the audience over a wider age range to house shows, RAW, Smackdown and PPV's.

Remember, kids love the spectacle more than the pure wrestling product. I guess as you get older, you forget how you thought at that age, and if WWE is a PG product, guess what...... you have your larger target audience in that age.

Bryan sells more merchandise than Reigns already the last time I checked and didn't have a rocket strapped to him. Any face in the main event is gonna sell a lot of merchandise really. He's far far more over than Reign generally whether you want to admit it. I don't even hate reigns, he's just kinda "meh", I'm perfectly entitled to be miffed Vince has picked him to be the main guy. Lots and lots of people are.

@Hoof The Ball I dont think the champion needs to be the best wrestled either. The Rock was a decent in ring worker and all but everyone can agree it was his unique charisma that made him so popular, same with Cena. Hart was never a great talker (neither is Bryan really) so its the opposite with those guys. Reigns for me hasn't shown nearly enough in either of those departments. He could've done with another year or two before being pushed this much

It's not just based on merch. During Bryan's famed run, he was almost the top merch seller but as champion and PPV's the attendance at house show's, RAW's and PPV's were down. When you factor all the above into it, Reigns will go onto prove better business as Reigns can reach the kids that Bryan can't.

yep, I can guarantee you any kid would rather watch a stone cold stunner than a well executed arm drag or hip toss

Rock as a face was much more hated than Roman is. MUCH. Not even close.

 Guarantee it! I know when I was a kid, I wasn't even aware of how technically sound Ricky Steamboat was......or his famed arm drags. All I cared about was the larger than life Hulk Hogan/Ultimate Warrior and their respective Leg Drop/Body Splash.

Retrospectively, of course it's ridiculous, but half of the smarks forget that Bryan isn't that appealing to kids. As shallow as it may seem, Reigns looks like a damn Titan to kids who love superhero stuff. You can get behind that as a kid....

What a weird RAW... enjoyable, but weird.

They put Reigns and Bryan in several different spots which made them act faces/heels/dicks and/or idiots... bizarre.

The idea seems to be that Roman needs to be a badass, which is exactly how he comes across without Vince's scripting. I mean, everyone could see it was the best thing to do, and they seem to have realised now. Bryan is collateral to the main story.
