Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

Am I the only one who doesn't get Bray Wyatt? I find him boring as hell.

At least Undertaker and the ministry used to have an actual goal. Wyatt seems to just spout loads of jargon about sisters and buzzards with no real meaning. I'm left thinking "okay... so what's he mad about?"

It was never really explained why he went after Bryan, Cena or Ambrose. He just seems to like attacking people for no given reason.

I agree. His concept was interesting to begin with but it's completely failed to evolve. It's the same stuff, he's here to deliver us from something but nobody knows what. He talks a lot of babble that nobody understands which is cool because that's his thing, he's mysterious and believes himself to be on a higher plane to the rest of us but yet all he does is fail in his goal to do something to anybody. They took his family away and now he's just a guy who hasn't managed to convert anyone to his side in the whole time he's been here.

That's not Bray's fault, and he's capable of putting on some great matches but his gimmick is now stale because it hasn't gone anywhere. They need to sort it out.

I was hoping the Rumble would see his family given back to him. Given how theyve been booked, having them come together all in the ring and then basically rejoin Bray would have been more interesting than what they are doing now. Plus if Bray is facing Taker, having his family with him would be a good idea (even though they couldnt help him win against Cena at WM last year)

WWE has just announced that we will be giving new WWE Network subscribers the entire month of February free including WWE's newest pay-per-view event, Fast Lane. My issue with the Rumble wasnt even Reigns winning, thats been known and expected for months now. My problem was they way they handled the rest of the roster during the match, which was basically just as filler until Reigns won. There were no other stories to come from the match, even Wyatt (the only other person to have a good Rumble imo) only has the fact that he lasted a long time to look back on, nothing compelling that will lead him into a feud

Were people meant to believe Kane or BS were going to win in the final 3?

Again I didn't watch it, but it sounds like the worst booking ever.

The whole ending was just dumb. It was poorly put together and poorly played out. The crowd booing everything just made it even sillier...but in fairness it was either boo or sit in baffled, underwhelmed silence.

It was poor, final 4 should havebeen reigns, Bryan, wyatt & Rusev, then made it an existing finish then Reigns might not have been booed

Then they had the "drama" of Kane and Big Show turning on each other

So Triple H apparently has an announcement that will shake the WWE to the core. Unless it's a brand split I won't hold my breath.

If it's a brand split, it needs to be a proper one. None of this "I'm a Smackdown guy, but I'm on RAW because ... I, er, um...was booked?" nonsense.

I have two episodes of NXT to watch, which is good.

The WWE Network is a bag of dicks, and didn't tell me that I have two episodes of NXT to watch (despite it being in my watchlist as a series), which is bad.

Well to give the Network some credit here, it's probably something to do with the watch list looking for it on Thursdays.

It's a weekly show in a set time slot however, it's not exactly difficult to remember.

Yes it is, but a heel Authority will throw obstacles at Roman. This is an excuse.

Ah, but now I'm getting images of Roman having to beat various people on his way to Wrestlemania, probably with a handicap match thrown in there, and it's just going to be "look at Roman overcoming the odds" (tm Cena).

In other news, I've finished watching NXT. Some really good stuff on there, although they have basically destroyed any chance Bull Dempsey ever had of being a believable threat to anybody.

Corbin beats him easily for the second time. Dempsey confronts him backstage, and Corbin basically shoves him away one handed, leading to Dempsey standing there looking like he's about to cry.

Yeah but Corbin...

Yeah im surprised how they handled Dempsey. i thought this back and forth would go on a lot longer with each trying to outdo each other before a face off (well second one).

Corbin is really interesting. Just has something unique about him that is interesting.

Actually, I did like Corbin's promo on the latest episode. There wasn't much to it, but he has a good intimidating voice. He's obviously a very strong guy too, to be able to do that move on someone like Dempsey. I think the next test will be him being put in a longer match, and having to show a bit more to his repertoire. He's facing Adrian Neville next in the tournament, so that'll probably be the one.

I googled Dempsey, and it seems that he's also been called Baby Hughie, and Huge Smith, so really any name after that would have been an improvement.

Brays weird. I understood why he went after Cena and Bryan. Bryan he tried to recruit (and did) and with Cena he basically called him a false prophet to his fans / kids.
Ambrose because he saw himself? Dunno. Think his loss to Cena killed his momentum a lot..

Totally. He spent most of 2014 getting the CENA WINS LOL treatment. Has lost loads of heat because of it. Another reason why I don't want him facing Taker.

Dempsey is a complete jabroni and they know it. He didn't even get positive reactions killing Mojo Rawley ffs, they had to bring him back and have Breeze do it.

The whole Dempsey thing was just building him up for this to happen. Expect his release before the end of the year. On NXT.

interesting to see they've reverted the Soloman Crowe gimmick back to a hacker. I've never known them back and forth on a gimmick as much as they have this one, if done right it could be exceptional, not much room for error though…

EDIT: also interesting to see who he's paired with coming out of Takeover. Maybe Kalisto in the house show feud of the last 2 years.

Not going to get involved in the whole debate but I've noticed a lot of people seem to be armchair-booking for Lesnar/Bryan while forgetting what his recent injury was, and putting him in the ring with a suplex machine (specifically German) would pretty much be negligence on the part of the WWE. Bryan himself has said that he'll keep trying risky things until something hurts and then maybe cut down on that move, but Lesnar will fling him in his neck for 20 mins+ which is not feasible going forward for Bryan.

Interesting look into the scripting and shooting of promos in WWE.

Apparently it's been pulled from Youtube a few times already so I'm not sure if it'll be up for much longer.

Even more interesting (in my opinion at least) is the guy laughing with him about "WWE-ifying it" is Ryan Ward, the head writer of NXT. he's clearly being given a key role with Vince's inner circle being phased out as we've seen of late.

For anyone who watched and enjoyed Wrestle Kingdom 9, New Japan have just announced a free month on NJPW World if anyone wants to check out old shows/matches or the house shows and 2 ppv's this month.

No English commentary but the site itself is pretty easy to navigate.

Regular price is 999¥ (about a fiver)

Very good price. I also signed up to the WWE network for the free trial. Ill probably end up cancelling after WM though so £10 for 2 months, 2 PPVs, and a lot of original programming plus older PPVs is quite good.

I really do wish this was around when I was in Uni. Would have made much more use of it tbh. Although id probably have no social life and still be a virgin if that was the case lol
