Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

Raw Routine:

- Main event gets interrupted
- Three minute Divas match
- Tag match with Usos and goldust/star dust (also in 3 man tag edition)
- Rusev vs Predictable Loser
- Big Show being boring.

Argh. So much talent. So little use.

At least Roman Reigns won superstar of the year. Well deserved, he's carried the company on his back this year compared to the lacklustre efforts of people like Seth Rollins, or Daniel Bryan, who have barely done anything of note this past year.

BELIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVE.............that

*cornette face*

Yeah the Reigns thing was obviously rigged just so he could start his push in the build to WM.

Hehe, SkySports running a post on Facebook from ages ago where The Rock came back to square off with Rusev. Saying it happened last night.

Why didn't they bring Kurt back for the Rusev ? It would make soo much more sense then the Rock.

Sorry if this has been asked before.

The Rock was in Brooklyn that night and Kurt was under contract elsewhere...

I read the raw report each week and just catch up on anything I think is worth seeing. Can honestly say there's been nothing I've bothered looking at on Raw for ages and I have even less interest in Smackdown.

Nxt Takeover this Thursday has me excited though!

Kurt's skeleton is closer to paper mâché than bone at this point. He couldn't get through a match with HBK in his prime anymore, never mind a hoss.

Vince ain't gonna let a guy die on his books, that's a huge risk with Kurt's addiction history too. Add in Kurt pissing off the head of talent relations early this year and there was no hope.

Anyway, who needs Kurt when you have Chad and the Shoot Nation?

WWE have managed to kill all the momentum they gained from Survivor Series.

The Raw shows have been terrible.

So it's only a few months away now so where do we think Mania is heading? I'm thinking something like this:

Reigns v Lesnar
Cena v Ziggler
Rusev v Rock
Triple H v Sting
Ambrose v Rollins
Wyatt v Harper v Rowan
Goldust v Stardust

Plus a tag title match, women's match and standard battle royal. Plenty of talent/big names still to get on the card including Big Show, Kane, Ziggler, Cesaro, Swagger and even Bryan if he has recovered.

It's baffling how quickly they choked off any excitement after a very good SS.
This is the pattern though tbf, it quiets down now gets boring, some filler then builds to the Rumble bit of down time and then Wrestlemania. Post Mania is good, and we're in the pattern again.

Yeah, TLC for a bit of whacky fun(perfect example of "some filler", TLC) and they should pick back up pre-Rumble, hopefully without Batista-esque shenanigans.

The Tom Phillips and Alicia story on the app is the best storyline currently tbh.

I reckon you are pretty much spot on with that card. Not sure about Cena/Ziggler. I can easily see them doing it but not sure it will happen. Also, no way will Orton miss the card. They'll have him do something.

A sidenote about RAW, how did the Survivor Series main event win match of the year? I mean really. How short is the attention span for some of these viewers.

Yeah but you didnt vote did you. I think most people who voted wouldnt have the same criteria for best wrestler, match, etc.

Probably not. But under no one's criteria should that be match of the year.

There werent that many choices for a great match though. TBH, it was a fantastic match the way it was booked. It had quite a lot but all made sense and told a good story.

Now Superstar of the year ...

I thought the Wyatts vs the Shield was the match of the year and it wasn't even nominated! But yeah, poor group. Yeah the superstar one was a joke. I worry for Reigns' push actually. They're strapping a rocket to him but if they push too much the fans might turn against him.

On an off note, just watched DX parodying The Nation on the network...gets me every time. The Crocks people's elbow is good but Jason Sensation as Owen Hart steals it - "Why am I wearing this ridiculous outfit!? I look like a damn roadsign!...If anyone smells what The Rock's cooking it's me, look at how big my damn nose is! What am I, a damn aardvark?!"

Is that the one where they ask 'Mark Henry' how his pecs go all the way around his back?

Yeah, and Triple H is brilliant "When The Crock's with the ladies and he hits Rock Bottom...he has no choice but to lay the smack down on himself!"

fecking Owen though..."What am I a damn school crossing!? And I'm not a nugget! I'm a black heart damn it, a winner, a survivor!! Wooo!" Seriously in tears watching it.

Here it is...

Taker being advertised for 31 leads me to believe he'll be there. Cena or Wyatt would be my guess, with Taker winning.

That bored of it last night I actually decided to watch our game because the full highlights were on from 2.30am.

Really awful RAW I thought. Main event certainly didn't seem worth staying up for.

I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks the best part about this is the crowd actually making noise and being involved. They could make the best show in history nowadays and it wouldn't mean a damn thing because the crowds would ruin it (unless it's the show after Wrestlemania or perhaps one in Britain). People like to shit on the Attitude Era for all the slapstick nonsense and lack of actual wrestling but it was damn entertaining and the crowds were always insane. Proved they actually liked the product and bought into it rather than just the merchandise as little 5 year old Cena fans. The sooner they start targeting the 18-30 market again the better (though it'll never, ever happen again).

I was laughing my head off at the Owen Hart bits especially

Yeah, thing about slapstick nonsense and toilet humour is that it's often funny and entertaining. Sometimes a bit of cheap entertainment is needed.

Still, the crowd is the difference maker, have that level of amp and today wouldn't look half as bad. Remember Stone Colds return to battle the Alliance?

I can't imagine what that'd be like today.....

Who shits on the attitude era? Surely everyone can agree it was at its peak then. Certainly compared to the utter rubbish served up these days

What do these people believe to be WWF at its best?
Some think the 80's, some the Ruthless Aggression Era when Lesnar was on top and Cena was a good heel on the up.

I personally liked that whole time where the Attitude and Ruthless eras blurred the lines. Jericho's first run, the Invasion, the HHH/Rock rivalry, Hardcore 24-7, Hardys/Dudleys/E&C with their TLC's, only shite part was how much of it Stone Cold missed. Some consider most of that Attitude Era though. Some call it post Attitude.

WWF with Austin, Rock at the top. Mr McMahon. Hardcore title. Real head chair shots. Blood. An interesting tag team division. Maybe around that time where Kurt Angle was new and rising.

For me that era was pretty much all the same. It started going downhill when they split RAW and Smackdown. And When Cena officially became their number 1 guy

I also loved the Dudley’s/Hardys/E&C , Cactus Jack HHH was superb too. Kurt Angle and the start of Lesners career all super. The start of the Invasion was unbelievably good for me as I had followed all 3 organisations so closely. But they really botched that in the long run
