Squad players:
Johstone, Wilson, McNair, Hernandez

Loaned out: Januzaj

Atleast I'm not the only one who thinks signing Higuain is a no brainer,he'll be relatively cheap as well.

I also agree with everything you posted, everything.

:D good to hear! Higuaín fits Van Gaals striker role perfectly, and he's one of the best poachers obtainable. He has proven himself in Liga BBVA, Serie A and for his national team. We need a striker who can bang in goals consistently and Higuaín would be perfect with the right players surrounding him.

This is the best we can do this summer IMO.

Higuain wont be cheap, reports say £42M and Napoli will want their price.

Didn't know that, i would value him at 32m, 42m for a striker that only scored 18 league goals with a bad penalty record is not ideal.

If you're gonna draw so much attention with a lineup, please get it right at least.

-Valdez is spelled Valdes
-Alvez is spelled Alves
-Depay is not a right winger. He has never played there.
-Herrera hasn't played a single game at LCM for us. He will play RCM next season.

Sorry mum. I want Di Maria on the left - don't care where you want him to play tbh.

I still think Yaya will leave.

I would be delighted with that (minus ddg as he is off). Would like clyne instead of alves. The big three for me are otamendi, schniederlin and gundogun. It gives us a spine with smalling in there as well and rooney up top.

You've gone so far over the unrealistic mark why not just put Messi in for Rooney

It's interesting if we do sign the players were being linked with we will pretty much have a settled team sorted for the next 5/6 years or longer.

Gk - Leno

RB/LB - Shaw and Clyne

CB - smalling and otemendi

Mid - herrera, schneiderlain, gundogan

Forwards - Memphis, Roberto firmino, Kane

Oblak
New RB - Smalling - Otamendi - Shaw
Herrera - Schneiderlin
Firmino
Bale Lacazette/Kane Depay

Yeah I'd agree with that, those three do solve our immediate problems, if we bring in some decent RB too.

Once we have a solid part of the 1-4-3 built and ready to go for the next few years, we can work on putting together a scary front 3. Whether than includes Kane or not I don't know. I'm really apprehensive about strikers signing this year in case it means Rooney playing in midfield, or even seeing out his 300k a week contract on the bench would suck.

This is my team on FIFA for 16/17? one can dream

Valdes
Juanfran - Otamendi - Hummels - Shaw
Carrick - Herrera
Mata
Di Maria - Rooney - Depay

Not sure whether to swap Di Maria and Mata. Or possibly put Fellaini in there? Otamendi would be too ambitious really. We will need a new striker if Van Persie leaves aswell.

...with the three behind Rooney all interchanging.

Yeh is pretty much go with that, don't think we'll sign Ramos though.
Definatly need a new striker

Valdes
Darmian Smalling Ramos Shaw
Schneiderlin Verratti Herrera
Depay Rooney Di Maria
Would want Ddg to sign a new contract and also want us to sign Lacazette. Trophies or not this team would be a joy to watch

Valdes
Darmian - Smalling - Ramos - Shaw
Schneiderlin
Herrera - Di Maria
Januzaj - Rooney - Depay

Subs: Leno, Rojo, Jones, Valencia, Blind, Carrick, Pereira, Mata, Lacazette, Wilson

Oh, what the hell. Might as well.

Assuming DDG is sold.

Rotate Carrick & Schweinsteiger if we pull that signing off, & we're pretty set.

-----------------Valdes
Darmian--Smalling---Otamendi---Shaw
---------Schneiderlin---Carrick
------------------Herrera
----Mata/AdM----------------Depay
------------------Rooney

Still a bit light at CF. & benching either AdM/Mata is quite an expensive signing to bench :nervous: But against the big teams, I think a midfield 3 as above would be ideal. Mata or AdM could be rotated in Herrera's role against smaller teams at home.

Not too sure how Depay will settle in. He might be gradually introduced, meaning he spends the first half of the season as a sub. But here's hoping he hits the ground running!

This would be my side as well. Like you said in the bigger games that midfield 3 would be terrific. Would like to see a Schneiderlin/Herrera/Di Maria midfield as well at some point.

Lloris/Valdes

Darmian/Valencia Smalling/Jones Ramos/Rojo Shaw/Blind

Schneiderlin/Carrick

Mata/Pereira-----------Herrera/Fellaini

Di Maria/Januzaj------------------------------Depay/Young

Rooney/van Persie
Would be fine with this going into the season. If we can get a striker then fine but I think it will have repercussions because Rooney might have to play midfield or we'd have to change the system to accommodate him.

This is what I think we'll line up like... And then sometimes di maria left, mata right, and Carrick behind schneiderlin and Herrera in midfield for the tougher games. Otamendi instead of Ramos if de Gea stays.

You reckon Mata will start more in midfield than Carrick next season?

Think Carrick will be rotated a lot, but saved for the bigger games/away games. Home against the weaker teams, I can definitely see us opting to use Mata in the midfield 3 for the extra creativity as the most advanced, and Schneiderlin/Carrick shielding the back 4, so we can use Di maria and depay out wide. The tougher away games/champions league games/ big games I think we'd opt for more solidity, and we'd put Schneiderlin as a box to box, Herrera as the most advanced, Carrick holding, and then 2 of Mata/Di Maria/Depay out wide.

Carrick is 34 in a few weeks, and we'll have a lot more midweek games to contend with so there will be plenty of games to share around.

Interesting, I would honestly be surprised to see Mata in the midfield 3 in truth, I think Fellaini or even Rooney if we bought a new striker is more likely to play there in the games where Carrick is rested. I just think his weakness and lack of pace are too risky most of the time.

He played in the midfield 3 a few times last season, specifically around December/January and was one of our better players. We used the 3-5-2 then though, but at the same time he partnered Rooney who played the herrera role and they were in front of Carrick. I don't think Van Gaal cares about the physical attributes that he lacks too much, as in the smaller games we'll dominate possession anyway. What Van Gaal wants from his midfielders mainly is to be good on the ball and be good passers, and Mata is probably the best passer in our squad, always getting above 90% completion. Obviously you can't have him there always, but since we'll strengthen our back 4 and we'll have Schneiderlin holding and offering a lot more muscle then what Blind or Carrick did, then I think we might see him in there occasionally.
