That article has no latest quotes, probably the Guardian's attempt to scaremonger and attract alot of hits

I started following him on twitter. His latest tweet is 'going home with the legendary muniesa' and a photo with him.

Not Hazard material. Anyway, that article on Guardian was shit. The person who wrote was a Liverpool fan and his gayfriend was a City fan.

If you were in Thiagos shoes what would you prefer?
Well the thing is he wants first team football next season so he can prove to Del Bosque he is good enough to be part of the Spain setup. But Barca are asking him to be patient. He is not going to be starting as many games for Barca as he can with United next year. Xavi is still good enough for at least another year and maybe even two if his injuries dont get worse.

I once followed Hazard and Lucas, never followed any potential targets since.

You talk like that was over a decade ago. It was literally 12 months ago. We havent had any since except RVP and now Thiago.

Even then, it's likely that Fabregas and not Thiago will take over from Xavi when he's done, so it could be 4 years or so (when Iniesta starts declining) before Thiago gets a starting spot for Barca. Does he really want to be 25-26 by the time he finally becomes a player in the first team? I can't see it. I think signing Fabregas in the first place was a mistake for them, but now that they have, they have to let one of the two go.

So no real news today?

No good news. We choose to ignore the rest. As far as I'm concerned he plays for United already. We should register him and name him on the team sheets next season regardless of the formality of whether he's signed or not. Eventually he'll be forced to step into line.

One of Thiago's friends says this:

Falqué Iago: "Thiago will have more minutes in Manchester"

The former teammate Thiago in the youth ranks of Barça has said that "change is the same level, it is a great big one."

The Almeria player Iago Falqué, which coincided with Thiago Alcantara several years in the youth ranks of Barça and he played, among other teams, Tottenham and Southampton, has said in 'The Network Ràdio' to the probable place of his former teammate at Manchester United that "Thiago advise you to learn English especially, when I left I had pretty bad and adaptation is very important"

Iago added that "Barca will go to Manchester but the change is of the same level, it is a big big one. At Manchester will have more minutes in the club".

The player has also commented that "Thiago is an incredible player, that in one or two years will be among the best in the world. I'm happy for him, you go to a big club."

Transfermarkt.co.uk, who's German's sister-website is apparently very informative according to my Austrian friend, has issued a probability of Thiago joining us.

It's currently at 40%. BUT, it's an improvement from yesterday's 35%
It does have Garay at 77% though.

I forgot to add that my Austrian friend doesn't believe the British one is that reliable - so I guess we could take it with a pinch of salt.

 That's second behind De Gea's ball sign in my opinion. He's ours!

GENTLEMEN, GENTLEMEN - WELCOME TO THE PARTY!

The odds on the German site are exactly the same, it's at 40%. I also think the English version is pretty much run by the same staff it's just for English speaking users but pretty much the same site.

However these probabilities rely on how heavily a rumor is circulating in the press and for how long it persists, so they don't have any inside information that would make them very accurate with their predictions.

I don't think Barcelona fans will be too impressed if this is all one big trick to get himself an improved contract.

They are desperate for him to stay that they will immediately forgive him. In a Barca forum I checked, the majority would be happy to lose Cesc if that mean that Thiago will stay. A lot of them were saying that he's already better than Cesc, and of course there were some idiots who said that he should be first choice and Xavi should be forced either to accept to go to bench or to be forced to retire.

I saw that too. These are English speaking Barca fans though. So most of them are probably located in the US, Asia etc. Spastics basically.

He's just getting his friends to talk about United so Barca are forced to cave and offer him a new deal/promise him more minutes next season. I've seen the light.

Not sure if serious...

Do you know if does it exist a forum of Barca that has more local posters. It would be more interesting to read their views than the views of teenager ranks who want their second/third/fourth best ever to play to be forced to retire.

Hopefully our men can persuade him more than Barca. No waiting about at United. He'll probably walk into the first team, and the midfield creativity will revolve around him and Shinji. No waiting for anyone to be phased out or retire. He'll be the man from the off.

This has died down a bit. What's happened? DDG needs to sort this out!

Yes. I posted one a couple of days ago.

http://www.blaugranas.com/evaluacio...osibles_altas_y_bajas-itemap-71-79180-491.htm

This is their merged transfer thread. All incomings and outgoings of Barca. In Spanish of course. Lots of Thiago talk there.

Here is an example post from today:

Es que de eso no hay duda. El Barça sabe ya lo que va a hacer Thiago y no es ni más, ni menos que irse...

Translation: Of this there is no doubt (referring to previous poster saying Thiago was leaving). Barca already know what Thiago is going to do and it is no more or less than leave.

In this thread they all take it as 100% certain he is leaving. The main complaint is the fee.

I still can't see why such a promising player, brought up through the youth ranks and ready to break through would want to leave Barcelona, despite his bromance with De Gea. Surely he would get enough game time over the next year or so.

Even if you havent read anything here over the past two days, you can make it out for yourself that over the next 12-18 months, he is going to be in the same situation he is in right now.
