I don't really care either, just curious if a player has actually been 'stripped' of a number in favour of a marquee player, but I don't really mind who wears what. I don't even really care about the 7 shirt. It's traditionally a right wingers squad number so it made sense for Valencia to get it. Just a number though innit.

Though about players not caring about numbers, I wonder how Thiago feels about losing his number possibly twice, to Cesc, and now Neymar. I'm sure he doesn't care about the actual number, but it must make him feel less important than those two players.
 
Thiago has been announced the Euro u21 player of the tournament also. Good pedigree this lad :drool:
 
It's insane the amount of time I've spent refreshing this thread.

If he really does sign my cock will not be of use to anyone ever again.
 
I think this thread will easily reach 300 pages before this saga is concluded, and that's assuming he's going to sign for us in the next 30 days. If he doesn't, it'll go up to 400-450 pages with around 50-60 pages on the last day before his clause is removed from the contract on August 1 (it'll be quiet after that).
 
On another forum I frequently visit, one user (Barcelona supporter) has said that ''his heart is bleeding'' because he knows for sure that Thiago is leaving the club.

A good signing, but who else can we buy? If Rooney leaves and Scoles has retired, this leaves other places to fill. Is Moyes planning to give Anderson a shot in midfield? Any ideas who else is on our purchasing list?

I agree. It happens. He's leaving because he's young and feels ready to contribute, but he can't get into that team because their options are too strong. We arguably lost Pogba the same way. It's a crap way to lose a young talent who has been nurtured by the club for a long time, but if they are desperate to play and can get that playing time elsewhere at the same sort of level, then why not?
 
This release clause bollocks has gone on long enough. I reckon most of you lot are faking it anyway. It's like with away goals, everyone knows they count double.

Too much silence on the Thiago front today. I hope DDG is sending Thiago a barrage of texts. I hope they started out as friendly jibes, but then turned darkly threatening, involving family members and such.
 
I've been in work all morning, I see it being reported that he's agreed terms with us. How credible is the original source?

Exactly, everyone knows that it's MINIMUM for a reason, it can be added to. Otherwise it would be Maximum release clause
