Its probbaly the selling club forcing the buying club to pay upDunno, this link feels like the obligatory, look fans we beat United for him.
He's Scouse by association.Only 29 still, got a good few years left in him. Price seems a bit of a bargain.
What's the catch?
Wages will probably be an issue for them. Apparently he's on about 200k a week, he'd likely want a pay rise and 220k is the highest Liverpool have in the squad. They'd probably need to give him a massive signing on fee to keep his weekly wages low to keep people happy.Liverpool bound for sure unless they are so broke they can’t afford €30m which I doubt.
Wonder if between Thiago and DVB this is us moving on from Sancho and going for a bunch of lower priced players instead?
1yr left on the contractOnly 29 still, got a good few years left in him. Price seems a bit of a bargain.

Perhaps because:Quite why we are not in the market for this class player, who is precisely the deep-lying
Then I wonder who would replace him, it's a shame as he could do a job for United next season
quarterback-style creative midfielder we have been screaming out for is beyond me. Ole is clearly not convinced by Fred, Matic or McTominay.
United linked/used, so he will be a Liverpool player by Wednesday.
Thiago, VDB and Sancho would be incredible.Well well well.
Looks like we are getting somewhere now. VDB and/or Thiago would be good additions. Hopefully we get Sancho as well.

Prior to Aston Villa staying up the rumour has been Sancho - Grealish - CB. Sancho was always around 100 mill, Grealish was rumoured to be 40 (now hes 80) and a CB for around 30. Maybe we're forgoing a CB for the time being and still spending as much? (I know that we aren't but let me dream)By the way: Him AND VDB would certainly mean we are out of the Sancho deal no? We can't possibly spend that much in one window
He was well able physically in the champions league. He’s a world class midfielder. His injuries however are a concern.Perhaps because:
- he's already 29
- injuries blighted his career
- PL is practically the most physically competitive league
- I'm not sure, at 29, can adjust to the physicality, nor stay fit
- We won't be able to recoup any of the transfer fee if it goes wrong
He‘d want to be a starter, not sure how we play Pogba, Bruno and Thiago.
Van De Beek would be a squad I guess.
Just won the treble with Bayern.....I just can’t see why he’d want to join United.

We’re only being mentioned to make Liverpool get a move on.
If Thiago came in it would almost certainly mean Fred is leaving. We’d probably make a profit from signing VDB and Thiago whilst selling Fred, Pereira and Lingard. No reason to think it would impact the Sancho deal.By the way: Him AND VDB would certainly mean we are out of the Sancho deal no? We can't possibly spend that much in one window
Seems pretty obvious to me. Wish it wasn’t though. We’re only being mentioned to make Liverpool get a move on.
This was the most crazy window. That is arguably the best muppetry we have seen on this forum.
So... Maybe de Gea had it right all along?
I'm guessing you don't know where Thiago plays? He'd be the perfect Matic upgrade. He‘d want to be a starter, not sure how we play Pogba, Bruno and Thiago.

Who do you think was the DM in the UCL finalHe’s a playmaker leaving us short of any shielding of the defence imo. Thiago, Pogba and Bruno would be exciting but leave us open in the bigger games.
