Gaming The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

I had to take a break from this since I noticed myself stressing through the game, skipping dialogue and so on. When the patch is out I'm going to finish it. Really look forward to the new control improvements and the improvements to inventory management.

So the pre-owned game is £37 on a site i have £38 credit on and the new versions is £44. Is it worth paying the extra money? What do i get with that extra money as it says that some 'codes' may be used?

There aren't any codes.......well there is a code in the manual for a free digital comic but apart from that the DLC is free. Depending on your luck you might miss out on the extra goodies if they person removed them, soundtrack, stickers, map, thank you note.

That's disgusting that such a bug was present and not rectified asap.
Well, it was obviously a very rare bug and it's not always as simple as "oh, I just have to change this line a little bit!". It's obviously bullshit for Solius (and the other people as unlucky as him), but it made sense to focus on other things first. And really, we don't know if they've had a small team trying to figure out this bug since it was first reported.

The one where Wolverstone doesn't appear in the Golden thingymabob.

At first glance I thought you said Wolverine which would have tempted me to get the game
The wolverstone is used so you can transform Geralt (the main character) to become wolverine. That's why solius is so bummed.
(I honestly haven't gotten that far yet, and google didn't seem to help in the few seconds i tried)

Rekt.

I'll be starting this on Monday. Week off (not just to play this you losers) but looking forward to getting stuck in.

Did I just get the best ending?
Temeria = own country, vassal to Nilfgaard
Skellige = sorted, happy
Ciri = stopped frost, survived, witcher with bitchin sword
Geralt = Geralt

I haven't checket the internet yet but that sounds pretty feckin good?!

I'd say that's the best ending.

Radovid is a tyrant, Cerys takes care of Skellige and Ciri being a Witcher with Geralt is cool.

Did you get a romance ending or did you ruin it all by trying to get a threesome?

aye in hindsight my lust for clunge has cost me in the end in that respect

GameXchange is my favourite website. It's always been great for trading in but it's now confirmed it by delivering my copy to me today even though i only ordered it yesterday afternoon. Let's get this started. :drool:

Not played much but i'm already staggered as to how in depth it is. Loving it.

Exactly how I feel. I've found myself putting in the effort to do things other than the main quest which is why i'm only half way through the Griffin battle after about 5 hours of play. I even go as far as traveling to the other end of White Orchard to explore a question mark waypoint.

I'm struggling with the Griffin battle though. I bumped up the difficulty to hard early on, but I didn't take many consumables with me to the battle and now i'm half way through the battle with nothing but alcohol left and it has auto saved. I can roll it back, but i'd like to beat him as it is.

For what it's worth, I don't even know where to get consumables from other than random loot. In fact I don't know much about what i'm doing at all.

And having to hold B to get off that horse is a right pain in the arse. The amount of times i've jumped into the middle of a group of monsters because I forget I needed to hold it is taking the piss.

I've not really been exploring the question marks yet so i think i'll make that my task today before i carry on with the main storyline. The witcher sense skill is already grating on me though, it feels like im going to be stuck in another LA Noire but this time with a sword wielding badass.

I actually think having Djikstra rule Novigrad as the patriot who will go against Nilfgaard and look out for the oppressed minorities is better, as opposed to the phony power Roche submitted for. Then again, it's not worth it at the cost of Roche and Ves' life. That quest in general was a huge anti-climax. Djikstra shouldn't have died. It was so out of character for him to jump in and die like an NPC. I imagine time-restraints fecked them. I maintain the opinion that if this game was delayed for another 6 months to tidy up the last arc, it'd be the best game, well, ever. Proably should've ended with Yen too. Then it would be the best ending. :D
New patch is out now, right? 7GB. I expect NG+ to be soon.

Not for me...

:lol: Surely not. Maybe it background downloaded?

Nah I just loaded up the game to see as well. I don't remember any of the controls and I accidentally threw a bomb into a crowd of people.

Whoa there.. you motherfecking hamburger, I'll devour you!

They didn't really fix Roach did they? Back to running I guess..

Patch is out on Steam as well it seems. Should be fun downloading with the ~3 Mbps I currently get - better start downloading now in case I want to play in a few weeks!
