Television The Walking Dead

I don't like these episodes where they focus on just one group, makes the entire thing go even slower. Two different groups with alternating scenes is much better for the pacing of the show.

You could see Daryl looking her up and down during the drinking game, I just kept thinking why don't they just get it on.
Don't blame him for smashing the Peach Schnapps though, if you're wanting to try alcohol and get drunk there's much better choices. Not that she looked properly

 My friend's brother-in-law was hanging out with him one weekend in university. My friend was just dating his sister at the time, but my friend and several others, including the girlfriend/sister, decided to go to a strip club. The brother was only 16 or so at the time and left at the apartment with another friend who was supposed to make sure he didn't do anything stupid. The brother downs a whole bottle of peach schnapps that night and is sick the next day. It was his first time getting wasted as well. He's never touched peach schnapps again.

For a second I thought you meant your friends brother in law was hanging out with the actor who played darryl

I watched this last night, I just can't put my finger on what's wrong with this show.

I really liked all the character interaction in this but it was like an hour long acting case study, there wasn't a lot going on but a lot of melodrama.

They just need to do what someone mentioned earlier, split each episode between two groups

Just caught up with episodes 11 & 12 and although I watch this for fun ( I do enjoy it) and never get caught up in the implausible plot debates, how the feck is anyone expected to believe in the redneck scientist?

I don't just mean from a viewers perspective but Glen etc. I'd have laughed my arse off if I heard that conversation.

Episode 12 was shite - bored after 5 mins and nothing interesting going on at all

Was going to post about the poor interaction between Blondie and red neck but am too bored after that episode

Almost caught up now. Up to episode 10 of season 4.

wasn't happy that Hershel had to die, and I think they could have made a bigger deal out of The Governors demise.

Is there really only 4 more episodes?

Wow, just when I think it couldn't get any more forgettable. I think I'm done with it, it's just not even slightly fun even as a brainless zombie show anymore. Shame.

I supposed nothing of note happened from the 15th min till the end because once I realized the episode was going nowhere I just stopped watching. This is some feat, making the show worse by each episode.

Only interesting bit of this whole season is the mention of some sort of governance left in Washington(was it?) and talk of an end. Amazing, considering we are now in season 4, how little there has been other than fights with walkers . Id like to know a lot more about the actual disease.

I don't suspect they'll delve into the territory of learning how the disease started and if there's a possible cure. The show centres on the the human psychology in certain circumstances and character development.

That is where the show invariably falls short - it takes itself so seriously. Yet it still does such a poor job in conveying the characters, due to the scripting, dialogue and acting. It initially made a name for itself by the quality of writing, dialogue, action and even cinematography in the first episode, but that was under different writers. Now the zombies are merely sideshow gimmicks and everything else has turned out piss poor. It really is a very average show.

It cant continue as it is. The only way it would be worth watching for me would be if they start bringing it to some sort of conclusion.

Agreed. People say how relieved they are that the group isn't at he prison anymore, but I've actually found these four episodes since the break more dull than the ones at the prison. It could be better on the road, but the environment and setting they are in just isn't exciting at all. I suppose that's down to budget constraints and where with the show being situated in Atlanta (outskirts), but I would much rather see them in a stronghold of some sort.

If you've read the comics you know the 3 latest characters.
I wish they would spend more time in Cities. I can't believe so many zombies are walking around the countryside.

You might have to PM me this if you don't mind but is there any ending to the comics? Or deeper story rather than "walkers are gonna get us?"

The comics haven't gotten shit after being really good for a while, the emphasis is a lot more on the human threat than zombies but the zombies do damage there and they do not hesitate in the comics to kill off major characters.

That's what I've been saying from the start. Some say "if you take it as a brainless zombie show", but that's not what they are attempting. It really is terribly written, especially the emotion and backstories. Since Merle went and they really destroyed the Daryl character, there's just no one to care about - and even the zombies are just so terribly done now.

That last episode was probably the last I'll watch, it was actual tedium watching it and that's not good at all.

You guys are really picky with your tv! I'm still enjoying it, can't wait for the next one.

I still say that since it appears that there is still some sort of decaying going on with the zombies, they need to have a scene where the group first sees this long hanging black cloud approaching, as it gets closer they realize it is a gigantic swarm of flies buzzing around a hoard of zombies as they approach. Which this also gives the writers a chance to work towards an end game. Stay alive long enough and the zombies will just rot away or get eaten by flies/maggots.

This would actually make a lot of sense, especially in the hot humid south eastern US.

Why are none of the zombies naked? Some of them must have been in the shower when they were bitten. How about a few transvestite ones?

That wouldn't solve anything as the survivors would still turn into walkers when they die. And I'd say it's safe to assume any babies born after the outbreak (like Judith) would be infected as well. It won't just go away by itself.

Bloody hell, they really do drag it out don't they...it's getting ridiculous, nothing happens.

All right, where the hell is Daryl getting his hair dye from? He's going goth.

Sadly another shit episode of nothingness.

I reckon all the survivors will find eachother just outside sanctuary at the series finale
