Television The Walking Dead

Why is putting ropes on walkers all of a sudden a way to make yourself not noticed? I dont understand. So walking with the walkers on rope amongst other walkers makes you invisible, but once you make a scream and kill one, youre all of a sudden visible to them.

I can't imagine we're doing spoilers on already aired episodes.

I enjoyed this episode. I said it at the end of the mid-season break episode, but I think getting back to a "on the road", survival type show again will benefit it. If that's where they taking it, of course. If they rebuild the prison again I'll stop watching.
Me too, I thought it was pretty good.

I think we are alone though

I thought it was alright. They could've maybe done with covering more than just two storylines, although it's good to just finally see them away from the prison. Being on the road should benefit them.

I'd like an answer to this too. Just doesn't make sense.

I think she had two walkers by her side to cover her human scent, not to make her invisible. It must be the smell of flesh that they are drawn to.

But why aren't those two going after her? I know it has to do with the scent but it doesn't make sense to me. If you run into the middle of a huge group of walkers you will be surrounded by their scent but they will still try kill you.

She chopped their arms off and their mouths. Dunno why they still didn't charge at her though, maybe they realised they couldn't and gave up? May have been smart walkers haha

Maybe this show makes no sense.

Wasn't a terrible episode, agree with everyone who says being on the road will help. They're just so abundantly stupid though. Carl walking backwards the whole time, what's the harm in walking normally? They're not going to start sprinting once you turn your back. Also he conveniently lost the spike from the garden at a rather important moment.

They just don't cover enough in so many of these episodes, and this being a return from a mid-season hiatus, they really should have covered more than that.

Should be The Boring Dead or The Walking Boredom.

This show became real rain of shite and idiocy as of late, latest episode was horribad.

I thought it was blood since a few series back Rick cut his finger and put it on the fence and the walkers were attracted to that and started licking the fence? But then again, some time before that, Daryl was impaled by his own arrow and unconscious yet a walker was gnawing at his boot when his whole body was on display. Hmmm, convenient. haha

TBH, it really is my favourite "must watch to see how silly it is" show. If there werent zombies in it, I dont think I would have continued after season 2 since I dont really care about any of the characters.

There was some decent emotional growth and story in this episode, but I feel like they will need to do more to win be back over, I found myself barely giving a damn.

The Dad zombie fake out, was very telegraphed, if they'd have actually killed him off I'd have enjoyed it more.

I think that's what is keeping most people in it, including myself. That and fact I never leave shows unfinished.

I can't work out why half you lot watch as you seem to hate it.

Although I have the biggest plot hole for you - zombies don't exist.

You're not. I enjoyed that episode. Carl did his best, wasn't great and the "I can't do this anymore, just take me" scene was rubbish. But on the whole this is what an apocalypse is. Like it or lump it.

I just think they kill off characters I like, and keep on ones I don't. Waiting for Glenn and Carl to go so I can enjoy this so much more. Getting rid of Carol helped greatly though, but I imagine her return is imminent no everyone has dispersed.

The dude playing Carl is just a mediocre actor, I was cringing during the "WAKE UP!" bit.

Seems I know the new episode has aired, but I just don’t have enough care to watch it yet. I can thank the mid-season break for that

And after reading the comments, I think I’ll leave it for a bit and potentially come back when there are a few more episodes that I can watch back to back so that the shows pacing issues are not as noticeable.

I didnt think the latest episode was as bad as 80% of this seasons episodes.
I do like it, its kind of an 'easy watch' if i just want to chill and not get to engrossed in something.
However i just dont see where the story is going or where its going to end.

It was okay. I thought Carls acting was better than it usually is - probably comes with age and majority. But he is, by and large, an ordinary actor who will never be convincing in a leading role, that said, the writers aren't exactly helping his cause due to his dialogue.

The amount of stupid scenarios to make a case in point that Carl 'Cannot cope by his own' is ridiculous though. The way they are presented I mean, like Carl not being away of a zombie next to him when he lures two away. Urgh.

It still is a very tedious show, but I will persist with it, as I do with any show I'm this far in.

So me, Dumbstar and Randall tentatively liked it, and everyone else thought it was the worst thing they have ever seen.

Well then.
It's weird. I dislike all of the characters on the show pretty much other then Daryl, and the show has so many boring, shit and tedious episodes yet there's something that keeps making me watch it. Probably boredom

If you want two shows that really are rubbish (and yet I persevere for some reason) try Revolution and The Following. They make The Walking Dead seem entirely logical and realistic. Revolution has jumped the shark so hard this season that they nearly went into orbit.

I also keep watching Person Of Interest despite plot holes the size of a galaxy - even the premise is a plot hole - they want to save the people the government don't care about - as long as they live in Manhattan - doh!

The concept of Revolution was intriguing to me, but then I saw one random episode on the telly and it struck me as completely ridiculous. It didn't help that they were apparently using blunderbusses, which is... technologically unlikely.

It was a better episode than most of late, i hope they stick with the road.

Thing for me isn't the plot holes, it's the terrible basic writing when they try to convey any real depth like emotion. I mean samurai's breakdown and recover (and the most horrible tear face ever) was just all so predictable and tired. They are shit writers at anything like that, so stop trying to make us care about the extremely dull characters, and give us more zombie situations! I just don't care about a whiny little brat, or the fact the characters can recover from mental breakdowns as soon as the scene switches, I just want to see more of them just trying to survive.

Oh and if it was that easy to survive a horde of zombies, just go into rampage mode, they should have all done it at the farm. Don't get me wrong I'm glad that place burned down, but these rages seem powerful stuff.

Yeah I agree, the plot holes have never been too much of a problem for me, I mean, it's a zombie apocalypse for Christ sakes, the problem is, since the very start of the show, that the characters are so poor, so terribly written and acted. Carl being a prime example in that episode.

They go for a similar sort of show to GoT, these real world situations/characters in a fantasy/whatever scenario, and it just completely pales in comparison. I'd much prefer a silly Dawn of the Dead type show to this.
