Television The Walking Dead

Reckon he might make it somehow. Bit of a weird death to give him if so. A cliffhanger mid season finale and then he just dies in the first episode on the second half. Nah.

Think it'll totally go that way, albeit with him getting most of the next one. They love making you regret watching it. Expect another 30 min long 'lightside/darkside' chat and lame emoting with Rick, Carl and co ('we have to save people shit', Daryl/Rick calm down going forward as a result, Carl 'saving' them) with the action scenes being at the other sites for the remaining 15-20 mins (though obviously all in a screwed up order, cutting in and out. Ending with the King or Enid on some sort of cliffhanger. Such a shitty program, been predominantly shit since the farm

Going overkill for the swerve with that.

Anyway, you'd think they'd feck off and look for some government or scientists or something. But nope, endless ammo battles in the back and beyonds of Atlanta for life.

Or do what they do in the game, head north where the zombies die off quicker.

Edit: Ratings are dropping to season 2 levels...

I'd gladly fall for some bs plot that lets Carl survive as long as they cut that fecking disgusting hair. I noticed something from the last episode...he is still a horrible actor... hasn't really improved all that much.

We know that cuntface Cawwwral won't die. They'll probably find a cure or we'll have to wait another half season til he finally turns.

Where the feck did all the saviors come out of? They literally spent 6 episodes killing them all. It only seemed to be the top lads in the meeting room when the workers nearly took over.

Nah - he's dead. The actor has basically confirmed it.

I hope this lasts at least another 10 seasons just to torture and annoy the people who absolutely hate it but continue to watch it and then moan how shit it is

Maybe he'll be cured, they've left themselves enough wiggle room to set it up with Gabriel getting sick with what I imagine is the same infection but not dying yet. It would be crazy to do, but you never know. I still think that Rick will die at the end of the season and Carl will take over, I'm not trusting this "bombshell" mid season ending to be anything other than them trying to keep people talking about it until it starts up again. In a show where the main cast are teflon coated, to have such a prominent a character's killing blow happen off camera in a previous episode doesn't really make much sense to me.

What the hell is with the weird guitar music and close ups of everyone's faces?

Anyway, Carl is dead hopefully. I'm glad I just watched the finale to see that and skipped the last 3 episodes. Kinda wished I just watched the last two minutes though.

Hold up, don't tease me like this. Is he really because this may just save the show?

Why are people talking like this is a debate? Carl is a goner. The actor has confirmed he has left the show.

he did say in an interview when he's finished in the walking dead he'll be focusing on acting. Good job cause he hasn't learned a thing in the last 8 years.

Haha exactly.

After reading around online about the comics and stuff the theory I have seen that Carl could survive is (warning: mentions comic content and a probable future storyline/characters):
He was bitten not by a walker, but a 'whisperer' [the next big villain group in the series]. They move about by dressing up as walkers and blending in, using their corpses as camouflage. Could be the case...but why a whisperer would actually bite him I don't know. Then again the show isn't known for the logic so it might be the case. A way to introduce the next big hurdle for Rick's group, too.

Wait, what? You guys don't think they're actually gunna kill Carl off do you? Have you even this show before. Absolutely no way he dies, and definitely not like that.

Just watched the episode. Whats up with constant zooming in on faces ?

The thing that annoyed me most apart from the garbage people running away again was rick hitting negan with the handle when he got hold of lucille, he could have finished him right there and then. And then when he got hold of a gun he ran away instead of going back in and shooting negan.

They did it in another episode as well, I'm not sure if it's meant to be dramatic or something but the whole time I'm just like

Just got around to watching the latest episode, finally Carl will be gone. And what happened to Gabriel? Why is he sick?

I think Gabriel just got sick from having to wear the zombie guts to try and get through the herd. It'd make sense that you'd be pretty vulnerable to diseases and infections from that.

but only cos the narrative requires it, right? Cos rick has done it twice. And a whole bunch of other characters have done it too.
but the one who does it just after discussing the issue with Negan gets infected haha

Yeah it was a bit of a cop-out. I like it as a logical reason for not doing it all the time though. Because a lot of people always used to say 'well why don't they just do the blend in trick?' So having this possible outcome at least is a logical reason to not do it.

A season or so ago when a new episode was aired this thread would be like 3 or 4 pages longer

The word dragged out comes to mind when watching that episode. Maybe time to put the series to bed.

I just watch or read recaps since Season 7 ep1. Really glad I did!

What a great episode, truly enjoyed it, definitely worth spending 1 hour of your time. Seriously, why do I keep expecting something from this show... A waste of time.

Joke's on you, I forgot this shit airs again, I think this is the best moment to drop this shit once and for all.

I used to love this series but it is a chore to watch these days and has been for some time. It still has great moments but there is so much filler. Still I have to see it through to the end now.

Oh it's back?

Funnily I have still been watching it. I do find myself just skipping entire sections of episodes though. Think I just wanna see Negan die and then I'll be done.

Huh. Even as a pretty disengaged viewer I usually keep up with the return/finale dates because they are usually decent episodes. Had no idea it was back though. Might try and catch up with it just so I can follow the complaints in this thread

Watched that episode in 10 minutes flat. Really happy with that. It's self harm but in a shorter window.

They've gone full feck you on the fans by showing the same 15 minute segment T.W.I.C.E in one episode. Then to really feck with us, leaving Rick under a tree with his hand stabbed at the end to make us wonder if the Coral death scene was just a dream.
