Eugene is such a sniveling little rat, I can't stand him
The original showrunner is part of the reason we had the worst season of the show by far, season 2. The current showrunners are actually being faithful to the comics for the most part.I watched two or three eps this season and then just stopped. I've been the most ardent critic of those who stop watching a show part-way through, however, when I think that i've not even started Mad Men yet..........
I don't get it; they've got source material to borrow from; good source material at that.
My understanding is that the original showrunner(s) left production prior to half-way of the second season. Current showrunners don't know how to create engaging sub-plots and write character development. I wouldn't mind the "filler" episodes more if the dialogue and plot were to be more interesting. I hope ratings drop on this to the point that AMC look to bringing some new people behind development moving forward. This show can be redeemed but someone needs to know where they're going.
Now all they need to do to escape is use an emergency exit because there are no walkers outside anymore Brilliant decision making as always.Oh look. Daryl and that pointless character no one likes ruined what was a perfectly working plan. How unexpected.
Is this weeks episode worth watching? Starting to get bored of it
It's infuriating viewing. I feel genuinely irritated after that episode. Problem is I've already wasted so many hours watching up to this point, I can't bring myself to stop.Oh look. Daryl and that pointless character no one likes ruined what was a perfectly working plan. How unexpected.

Starting to think I will. This show has taken a massive dive in quality since 2 seasons ago. FTWD is still okay but it's not as good as TWD was at the same juncture. That's it, I quit.
For me so much of the problem is the sheer amount of characters. Why do they need so many?
In seasons 1 and 2, it was their little group with a few threats & moral dilemmas, and it worked beautifully.
Get Frank back, kill off 90% of the characters in this war and start again.
What was the whole Rick being locked up in the container arc for? They kept him there, drew him and then tried to kill him with a zombie on a stick? Literally what. There was no point to any of it. You could’ve just had Rick walk in ask them to join and they say yes and the story would be no different.

Yes.Is tonight the mid season finale?
I see a few are still watching, Is anyone still enjoying it though?

They all went their separate ways before that, Rick to Alexandria, Carol to Kingdom and Jerry to Hilltop, likely to warn each community. Also I swear Ezekials guy, Carol and Rick were all in a car. They were escaping and it was hit. Then next thing we see, Ezekials guy is captured, but nothing is wrong with Carol and nothing is wrong with Rick? Did I miss something? (admittingly I wasnt paying full attention)
They all deserve to die for being stupid. They are in situations cos of their own stupidity. Rick killed Shane cos he was putting him and the group in danger. Daryl is even worse. hes the reason Glenn died, and lets be honest, the reason the Saviours got out as much as they dont want to frame it that way in the episode. Hes reckless, does stupid shit, then cries like a bitch.
And then Rosita goes, nah its cool, I made a mistake too that got Sasha killed, so youre forgiven.
You gotta give TWD props for how they make a death obvious. The character talks about 'the right way' 'the moral ground' 'ethics' etc, and then the episode focuses on them... then... dead. (or going to be dead).
If there was balance it would be better told.
(would be great if they did a copout and it was actually a bite from oneo f the saviours haha)
Funniest moment was Rick getting Negan down, having his bat, and instead turning the bat to the handle to prod Negan in the head with it before trying to go for the gun to kill him. What?
Or after all that time wasted getting the garbage people they just... run away

It seems a lot of hate watching or watching with the hope we might get something good given all the time invested.
