Television The Walking Dead

So what was the timeline for the first half of the season? Just trying to figure out how long Carl's been bit for. Was it really only two days?

What the hell is with the weird guitar music and close ups of everyone's faces?

Anyway, Carl is dead hopefully. I'm glad I just watched the finale to see that and skipped the last 3 episodes. Kinda wished I just watched the last two minutes though.

Seemed like some bad 80s pop music video.

I keep reading online its less than a week, but then its probably worse than GoT with all of the travelling, day and night coming up and stuff.
Also seems like Judith aged like 3 years whilst Maggie is barely showing any signs of being pregnant.

So eh...what was Eugene's plan again to get rid of the walkers last episode? I've completely forgot it.
Also, how did that Savior girl escape when Darryl, Tara etc were still like a few meters away from them in the bushes?

The most important question: where did all these Saviors come from? Suddenly they were once again outnumbering Alexandria, Hilltop and the Kingdom as if no single Savior got whacked this half of the season.

I think I honestly have more fun discussing this show with you guys than actually watching the show

Apparently the actor had just bought a house near set, having been assured of his future on the show. Merry Christmas!

I don’t get how the Saviors multiplied after being wiped out in most of this season?

I’m glad Carl is going to die, he’s annoyed me so much. Kind of funny how he avoided so many possible deaths, but gets bit by a walker in the episode last week or so.

The garbage people were flipping useless, what was the point?

I liked Enid’s plan, let’s get them something so they’re on our side... kills the leader.

 the timeline is so out of whack. I think they should have done a better job demonstrating how far all the places are away from each other, too. In some episodes Rick seems to travel from Alexandria to the Saviours compound, to an outpost, to the garbage people, and then to the Saviours again within a day (with most of it on foot). I guess they're only minor issues.

I guess not showing him turn is playing to the theorist that he is immune.

With regards to Daryl messing up, i dont see how it matters, if the Eugene was going to make bullets. The only influence it seems to have was it forced Eugene to commit his alliance more with Neagan.

That said, it seems like the writers are purposely trying to get the audience to hate Daryl and will introduce Dwight more in the fold seeing as Daryl is basically Dwight in the comic

Did cawrel (Carl in rick speak)! Get bit by a walker or did he bite himself whist trying to suck himself off? :annoyed: Confused.com

Reckon he might make it somehow. Bit of a weird death to give him if so. A cliffhanger mid season finale and then he just dies in the first episode on the second half. Nah.

Both the actor playing Carl & The show runner Gimple have basically spelt out whats going to happen, there must be a twist in all this as it seems too purposeful in the drop of these interviews.

Is it a fact that being bitten makes you a zombie?

I know that you dead = zombie soon after, but can't remember now some biting leading to zombies...

Well, they are all infected anyway.
but the bite is meant to speed up the death and accelerate the affect it has on you. or something.

I wouldnt be surprised if the latter half of the season happens in a span of a day so Carl is in every single episode before he dies.

Hadn't watched the episode, been trying to avoid spoilers and then came across this (at the top of a site in a sidebar) which basically gave it away:

Didn't they manage to save Maggie's father by cutting off his leg? I guess, it means if one of your limbs get bitten you can still survive if it gets amputated fast enough.
Doesn't always work, it happened to someone else, they amputated and he died.

I haven't watched the episode but where was he bitten? If's its the arm that would be funny. Rick should have cut off his arm when Negan was going to make him lol.

In the stomach. It looked like a bit more aggressive love bite. I think the zombie was generous enough to lift his shirt and bite him there, but not enough to rip stuff out like they normally do.

Amputate his abdomen!

Amputate his abdomen!

Maybe they can amputate his head and have it in a jar futurama style. I mean Eugene is a genius and Negan likes Carl. Plus this is tWD and nothing sensible ever happens, if theres a 99.99999999999999% chance this would kill him irl, then the walking dead will go with the other percentage because their writers are clever. I mean its not like they repeat the same thing over and over and have a character do their nicest and kindest moment and just kill them off straight afterwards or anything.

Either way the zombie is getting the worst end of that deal.

Just on that, was he always a genius? It seemed to me that they made him appear that way at the start but then when they revealed he was lying the consensus became he was just good at being a liar and sounding smart. But now he seems to be very innovative and possess all these skills that are useful.

I always took it as he was just a really smart school teacher but not quite a genius. Something he has in common with Negan.

I don't agree with killing Carl off. Kid had an interesting back story. Raised during the zombie apocalypse, it's all he's known most of his life. They could've build him up to be a real bad ass for years to come.

Instead we've got boring ass characters like Morgan, Ezekiel and Jesus still alive.

I think they've lost me this season. It's been a drag. There are too many good shows around right now and too little time for me to watch them all.

It's hate watching now.

It's been that way for about five seasons at least.

It's utterly abysmal and I don't like any of the characters nor any of the storylines going on at the minute and I've not got the inclination to find out either.

Just kill it off and make sure you stick a knife in it's head so it doesn't reanimate.
