Television The Walking Dead

The directors are slowly moving its viewers into Dallas territory now. Final episode surely has to be Lori waking up in a sweat to find a long bearded Rick in the shower and Negan tending the garden as any good gardener should.:(

Edit: Lost and Leftovers have turned me into a cynical bastard.

That had to be one of the most drawn out death scenes I can remember. Just die Carl! And take your silly hat with you.

What’s with all the weird flashbacks/flashforwards , wasn’t a bad episode I guess .

It didnt need a full hour at all. The dialogue is still fcked up.

I cant take Daryl seriously any more. When he had a line about keeping somebody safe, I actually laughed, wishing Maggie was there with a picture of Glenn calling him a liar.

I FF'd all Carl scenes so it only lasted about 15 mins. It does amaze me how Zeke maintains the Shakespearean language so well. Don't even know who that little kid with the stick is.

The brother of the guy Morgan was teaching who got shot by the long haired saviour.

That as to be one of the most slowest/boring deaths I've seen from a popular TV show, a full hour of tears and 'I'm sorry's' - All to save money on the shows budget.

I've never watched a show where all the main characters are so unlikable aswell, a few seasons ago when it was a smaller group, you felt more connected to them and was sad 1 one of the group died, now there's just too many of them and forget who's who and doesn't really matter when one dies.

I like the saviors more.

It was actually an hour and 23 minutes. :wenger:

The show, when it started, had a great potential and many viewers got hooked. Then they fired the series producer Darabont who was already in the middle of shooting season 2 , the guy they replaced him with left after season 3, and whoever came afterwards have gradualy turned the show into a cringeworthy shitfest marathon of neverending crappiness we've been witnessing for years now.

AMC did a terrible job with TWD, unlike their other notable projects, like Mad Men or Breaking Bad.

Shit. Glad that cnut and his cnut hat is dead.

Just end the show already. I need to see it out!!

Can someone summarise the episode for me so I don't have to waste 40 minutes watching it? I have things to do.

Not really. The bloke with a stick killed a few bad guys trying to rescue Ezekiel but didn't as he had gone by the time he and Carol got there.

Oh wait. Maybe they did at the end. I forget. I had lost concentration by then.

I think they must had done as the little kid (now with a stick) killed one of the main bad guys who was holding Ezikiel hostage, despite him having been captured/surrendered.

Morgan killing people and enjoying the gruesomeness of it was quite funny (though im sure thats not what they intended). Like him ripping that guys guts out.

Can somebody explain why they don't just go somewhere else? Alexandria was handy but it's gone now. Just head south to Florida or summat.

You're invested Trizy. You're going to be typing the same (last line) during Season 20 of TWD

Yup unfortunately! Hasn't been good since the governor/prison but I just have to finish it out

Lost was nothing like that though.

The network must have some much invested in this, to be keep pumping out these long drawn out episodes to fill the seasons
Its essentially a franchise now with the two shows, a talk show, games and conventions they are trying to keep alive.

Watching Morgan in clear mode and the last 2 minutes of Carl scenes would have made a much better episode..

That was sooo slow tbh. They waste so much screentime on shit characters and predictable fights with walkers.

Rick should have fecked with Jadis and gone all monosyllabic on her.

I've really got no idea what's going on now. What are all those lezzers up to?

I probably would have liked the episode more if I cared about a lot of these characters. Simon is cool though and I was glad he got rid of all those useless fecks.

Do I need to start watching this again?

I've not watched the last two episodes now. I think I'm finally free from this show.

It was a decent run. I've always wanted a zombie apocalypse series. At this point I'm wondering when it started going downhill. Probably around the time of Tyrese's death. Or maybe even earlier, after Beth's. The stories became less compelling and believable after that. Garbage people? Saviours not knowing the Alexandrians existed before Rick came? Morgan becoming some sort of zen master with a stick?

It was garbage in s2 except for some great moments. In fact the last episode of s1 was a bad sign for the show. The show became about making great moments for finales / mid season finales rather than telling a good story throughout.

When I was watching Save Me, the new series on Sky Atlantic recently, I kept expecting Lennie James to come out with some Zen quotes and then smash someone's head in with his staff.

Yeah I've missed the first two episodes and just don't have the energy to find time to re-watch them. I think I'm done, too.

I didn't mind season 2 that much. It did seem a bit slow at times, but there were a few significant progress. Shane increasingly becoming unhinged throughout that season for example. Also Hershel having to come to terms with the fact that the walkers are beyond saving. Aaand Dale died, not before telling the group to keep their humanity by not killing other people, or something to that effect, which sounds awfully familiar...

But recently all they've been doing is flip flopping, struggling with the morality of killing people and whatnot, which gets tiresome because these are people who should be hardened survivors by now. Even now, Carl's death is supposed to make Rick spare Negan, which is absolute bullshit, if it happens. This is the guy who ordered the execution of a bunch of people who were cannibals, and he's going to just let the guy who brutally murdered two of his friends in front of everyone live? And when did Carl suddenly become this softie who wanted to spare people? He was all ready to execute Negan just a few episodes ago.

Too many lazy flip flopping.
