Television The Walking Dead

I thought it was the best episode of the season to be honest. The helicopter thing though? Surely he’s hallucinating?
Agreed.

That said, it's not great when my first thought after Rick saw the helicopter was 'I hope that means humanity has found a cure and that'll wrap up the show'.

Snap! The end goal has to have some sort of cure, surely?

Its probably gonna be a pilot who died whilst flying and turned into a zombie. Zombie pilot :)

the saviours would know if the helicopter regularly took that route, plus the other guy who saw rick coming would have also seen the helicopter.

Words can't even explain how bad and pointless that episode was. Spent 85% of it on my phone and am still annoyed I wasted my time with it.

The synopsis sums it up really.

That's OK, though, they are just building towards season 16. That's when it will really get good.

I love reading this thread!

We gave up a few seasons ago, but it's so much better reading this thread and watching the torture in here. It's especially great fun watching the defenders of it slowly come around to just how terrible it all is and the realisation there's just not going to be a payoff to all those hours wasted.

I hope this show runs forever

I think I pay more attention to my phone than this. I think its been like that for a long time now except for finales and openers.

Season 21 opener: Judith's first day at school goes badly.

Rick’s daughter, Carl, comes to Miami with an announcement. She’s engaged to a podiatrist named Zombie Negan. Rick is thrilled but his happiness quickly turns to anger when he realizes that his ex-friend, Daryl, is going to be invited. After 38-years of friendship, Daryl had left Rick for a woman half his age. Rick threatens to make a scene at the reception which places Rose and Blanche in the roles of peacemaker.

I gave up on the show only this season but I don't think I'll ever give up on this thread.

Could only be an improvement.

Negan is the only interesting character left in the show. He is fun to watch and unpredictable unlike all others. Too bad he doesn't feature much this season. Last episode was full of stupid decisions again and the timing is hilariously unrealistic. I mean, what are the odds Daryl would crash into that saviours car? Seriously... Characters that no one cares about like Carl, gets most screen time. King is getting really annoying now with his speeches (although this was a bit shorter...). My expectations are so low now that anything but dedicated episode of Tara, retarded decision making, CGI created on Windows 95 and completely useless side stories would make it a really good episode.

So the crossover of FTWD and TWD has been confirmed with Morgan to feature in it.

The bazooka bit was hilarious.
Also Rick has got to be the dumbest leader ever. Even if he has a plan, its still stupid. He goes to this garbage people and they push him down almost killing him to fight a warrior zombie with no weapons.
Then the garbage people turn on hi and almost get his son killed.
Yet hes still trying to get them on his side. There are like 20 people. What freakin difference would they make? Seriously. They are more trouble than its worth.
And they talk like idiots only like years after the end of the world. Nobody talks like them. Ever.

Also that saviour that was captured has been causing nothing but trouble. And in this episode he reaches for a gun and they still keep him alive? Seriously. If anything he should be kept separated from the rest of the saviours.
And Negan imo has been spoilt. He should have been dead like 5 times already. The writing is so bad they dont even go out to protect him from this when it would be easier to do so.

Can't say I'm too excited by more Morgan :nervous:. It would have been interesting for a character to be introduced on both shows at the same time (although I guess that would need the two shows to air on the same night to make it work).

He/she could have had a different name/personality on each show, leading the audience to not know at first what was genuine etc. Or just give us more Morgan.

Shite episode. It is getting rapidly worse no wonder the ratings have fallen. FTWD is far better but I've invested so much and wasted time sticking with this show to just give up now, it needs to be coming to a conclusion point and soon. The gun battles and group speeches every episode is getting boring and repetitive, and I'm sick of the annoying endings where you won't see that character for weeks and it will be filler inbetween.

Seriously what does that one douchebag Savior have to do to get shot?? He should if been shot on site just on general principle. This season really blows and I'm usually defending it....how many more people are going to leave to go "check things out" when Rick told them all to stay.

This really bothered me. For all the little annoying issues/inconsistencies they've had, the actual trapping of the Saviors in their compound with zombies was actually pretty good. It was a smart plan. I don't get why Daryl, Michonne, Rosita and the other one are determined to meddle and interfere. It's just moronic because you know they are going to mess it up.

Their interference worked out though as the saviours were creating something to lure the zombies away and they stopped them.

I guess. Rick has snipers around the compound anyway though. I'm not sure they would have been that successful luring them all away. I was actually more referring to next week anyway. Where it looks like all four are trying to kill Dwight/Negan at the compound. I am sure they'll mess it up there.

what happened to the helicopter ?

What helicopter? This is all a dream. Where Rick will wake up in the hospital, see Lori and go
"you will never guess what I just dreamt" and you hear canned laughter.

I didn't think the latest episode was THAT awful. Maybe I'm starting to get a Walking Dead - Stockholm syndrome type of thing.

Swear that RPG would have taken down the building and look how close she was. Hilarious.

Yep. Particularly when you consider that Daryl used one a few seasons ago and blew up a gang of 10-15 bikers in a huge explosion. Rosita's should have killed her, the guy, and taken out the wall of that warehouse.

I gave up a few episodes ago after the mass killing of almost every character bar anyone who was considered an actual character on the show.

Oh look. Daryl and that pointless character no one likes ruined what was a perfectly working plan. How unexpected.
