Television The Walking Dead

Oh feck off. Everyone else has fecking plot armour galore apart from
the fecking tiger

This show does my fecking head in. But I'm too far gone to quit it. Bullshit.

Feel sad about the death:(

In general, it was a crap episode though.

I actually thought the actor that played Ezekial did a decent job. Usually the acting is pretty 'meh' or sub-par but he was pretty believable in the death scene.

Although
surely a 500lb tiger would be able to escape from or knock away four or five decayed and weak zombies? Seemed a little silly that they kept her down. Only a minor complaint thought.

I had a feeling that would happen given its their normal thing to do with regards to focus on a character.
Ia gree, Ezekial was actually well done imo. Nice backstory as to why he had a freakin tiger in the first place.

Fair amount of gore in that last episode, - one scene in particular - and as a few have said there was a death that came as a bit of a surprise, not to mention seeming more than a bit meek and unlikely. Keep wondering where it is all going though.
I actually thought the first scene was going to be a flashback to Ezekiel's pre-apocalypse life rather than the prelude to their attack on the Saviors

Why are people using spoilers talking about a current episode? read the title ..

Also on your ''spoiler'' point @ZAGREB RED , that would've made a much more interesting episode than Ezekeil just mentioning his story when he met the tiger.

@ZDwyr on your ''spoiler'' too, I thought the exact same thing. Earlier in the episode the nerd savior just simply pushed away a freshly dead zombie yet these zombies were practically rotted! Surely one swipe of the claws would've taken all of them out. Just another hole in the Walking Dead story so it seems.

Surely by now there isn't a single savior left apart from Negan cooked up in that trailer with the Priest? There's been like a million deaths in these 4 episodes.

They could always do a different timeline for the next episode and show Negan and the Priest right from where it left off.

I once got in trouble for mentioning something that was in the trailer. So I tend to just use a spoiler to be better safe than sorry

Well, the trailer is a future episode and not everyone watches the trailers, whereas if you're in the thread your'e expected to have watched the latest episode, pretty simple common sense tbh ;)

Oh you can be sure that's exactly what is gonna happen. But what's left of the saviors? Plus Daryl ''the punisher'' Dixon just help Rick secure all their weapons. I honestly fail to see where it goes from here.

Unless, Negan meets up with the Garbage people. Wasn't paying much attention to the Savior deaths but were any of the Garbage people actually in the first 4 episodes? I know that weird looking bitch wasn't

Yes I think a bit of backstory on Ezekiel and his "pet" and how ended up as His Majesty would have been quite interesting. Might have also revealed that he was an actually an unemployed classical actor working in a zoo....but I do agree the tiger with it s sheer bulk and power should have been able to save itself. It almost looked as though it just lay down and accepted its fate. I did even wonder if it was acting on some signal from Ezekiel just to lie down and give up, but I think it may have sacrificed itself to let Ezekiel and the others get away maybe ?
Spoilered all the above just in case.

:D This season is a disaster :D Some stupid and unnecessary 10 min long speeches, zombies who as always move in slow-mo when chasing main characters and die from touching them with a wooden stick :D, predictable plot and boring main characters who can't die (eh, that feeling when all your army is dead but you survive alone as always...). The only character Negan who is somewhat interesting, doesn't feature much this season... First 2 seasons were great and I had big expectations for this show but then it was a complete downhill. Don't want to quit now after investing so much time in it though :(

I felt that way until I started the third episode of this season and couldn't stop thinking about what a waste of time it was. I've successfully given up this pile of shit.

Everybody keeps saying that the first two seasons were great.
Wasnt season 2 that farm one? I thought that was horrible except one or two episodes (which were opener / mid season break stuff)
It was a whole lot of boring farm stuff.

But it was fresh, they introduced a lot of new characters, no characters felt like they were in God mode and the whole idea of living in a farm made sense in terms of growing your own food and the location with not much zombies around. Recent seasons are completely focused on a fight between camps (The Governor and now Negan). Zombies also became just a complementary part of the show and absolutely useless as you can escape from them walking with 1 leg and kill literally touching their head with a wooden stick.

Thought this was interesting, completely forgot how zombies were in s1. Picking up a teddy bear, returning home, climbing etc.

I've given up on the show now, it's just dull as feck. Zombies aren't really a threat anymore.
Lost interest in practically all the characters, the writing is appalling, the filler is some of the worst in TV.

If we're being accurate then the zombies would be a lesser threat after seven or so years. The rate of decomposition would be such in hot places that most would not even be walking, let alone scurrying around; even in the colder states, a zombie would be way less mobile than in previous seasons.

I just assumed that zombies got dumber and less advanced as time went on as their brains rotted more and they got more 'dead'

But some decent points

Whilst we are seven season in, what is the timeline meant to be - i bet its not meant to be more than a couple of years.

Aye but what about recently turned zombies?
s1 tank bit, they climbed onto the tank.
First zombie I think Rick encountered, little girl picked up a toy.
Also recall zombies being faster.

It is. It's based on the comic. The progression in age of Carl (Corllllllll.......corulll.....) in both comic and TV show in particular can't convey as little as a couple of years due to the significant growth of him.

Yep, newly turned walkers should still be fine. TBH, intelligent walkers would have made this show much better. They are an after thought and just used occasionally to kill of some minor characters or to put a roadblock in the way.

The zombies thing is because Darabont wanted more intelligent and faster zombies. As soon as he was gone they put the zombies back to how they all wanted them to be.

This season has been tiring to watch. It feels like they’ve just written “AND THEN THEY SHOOT AT EACH OTHER” a dozen times per episode in the scripts and filled in the blanks before and after it in crayon. The show was bad before for its fights, but now that they’re constant you can see the lack of technical supervision. Carol hip shooting in particular during the last episode was annoying me. She’s a dangerous killer? Ok then sure...

This season is God awful....everything is so fecking muddled, the acting is shite, and these are some of the worse gun fights I've seen.

One good thing in that episode was Rick seeing the helicopter.

Maybe, just maybe, it's pointing to an end game at last. Or it's just the next group they've to take down and there's still five more seasons left.

More likely the latter

As soon as they focused on Gabriel, I was thinking, well in standard TWD fashion, when they pretty much dedicate time to a jobber character hes gonna die soon. He probably got bit and will probably die next episode. Probably.
(Or since this is the first time they ever mentioned you can get ill from walker guts on you, thats probably it).

Fight between Rick and Daryl had almost looney tunes twist to it.

More Negan and that dude from GTA V and shit may be watchable.

I thought it was the best episode of the season to be honest. The helicopter thing though? Surely he’s hallucinating?
