Television The Walking Dead

I thought the story in The Last of Us was much better than anything The Walking Dead has served up.

I'm quite tiresome now, and I just don't see what the end game is here?

After this season they need to start aiming bigger rather then forcusing on squabble among communities. As terrible as FTWD is, at least its expansive

The unintentionally hilarious moments are the only good thing about this show anymore.

Carl shooting to the left of the darts board over and over again had me in stitches.

Brilliant moment

Have they explained why Carol sorta just went into a shell?

She's always been prone to some self-loathing and isolationist acts, but Morgan 'guilt-tripped' her over the edge. She's overly conscious about the decisions she's made despite the reasons, and feels the only solution is to never be in a position to make those decisions.
Latest episode has made this whiny period a phase.

The Saviours and the Kingdom wasting all that petrol for one bit of fruit
It's not like they pay for petrol but I do wonder how long petrol reserves will last. I guess for a long time because hardly anyone drives. I think they had to do it otherwise there would be consequences.

Did they really need that truck to deliver one box of fruit? Then the second time they had the box, tied it down and took the truck and another vehicle for one piece of fruit.

This show has the most glorious mixture of taking itself ultra serious combined with horrendously bad writing and weird stupidity.

Yep, just knew what was going to happen to Benjy by the end of the episode. Would have been a nice surprise if they didnt do the obvious. (I kind guessed when he brought the portrait to Morgan, lol).

TBH, I liked the episode for the most part. The problem I had overall is weve seen it too much now, and given the rest of the season nothing has really happened, so it felt a little slow. But at least it had some progress to it.

Morgans jump seemed quite big. Surprised nobody even tried to stop Morgan from killing Richard given they had no idea what had happened before that. Was strange stuff. Unless they all secretly hated Richard and were glad it happened?

I did also realise again how important my rating for an episode is based on the characters /actors within. I like Morgan and Carol (and some of the Kingdom) so thats what probably made me enjoy this more than last few weeks.
I guessed he was going to die as soon as carol stopped him from joining her and going with the group.

Morgan isnt going to be fighting anytime soon, looks like hes going to lock himself away with traps everywhere again. Glad bad ass carol is back. Although, is it just me or does she seem to look younger now than 1st season.

Another episode where nothing happens. This season will end in yet another pointless cliffhanger.

That cliffhanger probably being declaration of war with Negan.

Than entire 8th season will be the war itself because Negan is too big of a villain to have him last just for a single season.

That cliffhanger probably being declaration of war with Negan.

The entire 8th season will be 2 episodes featuring war itself and lots of angsty build up episodes because Negan is too big of a villain to have him last just for a single season.

Fixed

So next episode is probably them finding more guns and a few scenes of people being sad.

Penultimate episode probably them getting ready for the 'war' but Sasha and Lara Croft f*ck it up and they have to accelerate the plan.

Finale is the war, somebody shit kills Negan. Probably Carl. Cliffhanger because someone might be dead/is dead.

Don't think Negan will die. Will probably end up being taken prisoner or something shit like that.

Oh yeah, it's destined for it. All the build up to a war that's not really happening until the next series and 2/3's of that will be pointless boring filler too.

It takes itself so serious, but it's left itself in a position where it can't be taken serious because it treats it's viewers like idiots. It's a series of contradictions, random plot points and needless cliff hangers. With zombies being used as a plot device rather than an actual threat. All to the theme of idiots mumbling at each other.

I thought I was going to make it to the end given I've watched it so long, but I'm struggling to get to the end of this series.

Got to admit I've never followed such a masochistic thread in my life. I feel I need to do some sort of intervention for you all. Week in week out you all declare your hatred and nothing happens and it s crap and I hope so'n'so dies because they're crap and you hate them and you won't watch another episode because its crap and you hate them all and the season finale which will end in a cliff hanger of some sort as every other one has but you doubt you can hold on until then because it's crap and you hate them. I look forward to next weeks episode of self flagellating viewer misery proclamation.

Personally I love the show as much as I did when I first saw it and rarely find anything wrong. I do find it funny when people moan but still watch though.

No chance they'll kill Negan off, he's the best thing that's happened to this show in a while. If they make it to a s10 fully expect him to still be around in some capacity.

A lot of people still watch it for the same reason they continued to watch rubbish like HIMYM or even Prison Break. Once you've already invested in a quality few early seasons, you're invested in the show and you continue to watch to see how it ends. I've never been a very vocal critic of TWD but it's really got a bit too many filler/pointless episodes where absolutely nothing happens. I actually really prefer FTWD now to this.

This is an actual conversation from the latest episode.

- Maggie needs you.
- She needs you, too.
- Not anymore. She has everyone else, and they have her.
- You can stay. I know you can. But I know you won't and she won't, but I wish you would.

They've just stopped trying long ago.

It was another poor episode saved by a slightly intriguing ending.

What concerns about the remainder of the season me is that...

We have 3 episodes left and all the groups still haven't come together yet (they haven't even been to Lesbian Island yet!).

It implies to me that this won't happen until the final episode, meaning the actual 'war' that has been built up since the mid season finale won't even happen this season.

Most boring episode this season, that Eugene focused episode that everyone found boring was miles above this one.

The Eugene ep was my favorite since the mid-season break. Of course that means nothing since they're all terrible but still. That said, this episode was genuinely, irredeemably bad. The dialogue was probably the worst in the show's history

Sasha is one of the most boring characters, and to team her up with Rosita for an episode is just making it worse.
I was under the impression Negan's headquarters were miles away, not a short walking distance.

The scene where Simon trying politely to convince doctor to join Negan was glorious.

Glad Rosita's still alive after not giving a single about anything. Usually that type of character dies quickly by the law of a typical zombie story.

Really a terrible reason for doing anything though. That's how people get fat.

"When i started eating these donuts they were really tasty and fresh...."

Trust me, stop watching it. You're better than that (not you specifically but maybe some other people in the thread with the same predicament).

It just takes 40 mins once a week so it's not like it's taking too much of my time. Also, there's anyway not too much on these days so I can spare sometime for it. I agree though, it was rather awful now. They literally have 3 good episodes a season.

The last episode was :boring::boring::boring:. A completely pointless episode which didn't add anything to the storyline. It was a 14th episode of the season and even if you missed all of them, you didn't really miss anything :D This season was a complete disaster so far...

You can count on one hand the amount of episodes in any individual season they've put any real effort into making.

"When I started watching Man United, they were playing great football. Now (well last year) they werent.
I didnt want to stop going OT or watching the matches. "

Much like TWD, seven years invested into a story where the hope is that there will be a payoff or the hope it will get better.

They could have at least given us a lesbian scene between Sasha and Rosita.

They'll never learn Cassius. let them suffer is what I say.
