I sent this report to my wife as she works for the federal govmnt and is close, but not 8 months close, to retirement. It's more like 18 months for her.

On aid, I am mostly happy. We in Africa need to stop binging on aid. Nearly 2m Nigerians with HIV depend on aid from the US government. The Nigerian government was under no pressure to build capacity and develop our healthcare system to handle this because of aid from the US. It’s sad that people are going to die and Trump is a cnut. I’m privileged enough to work with a number of DFIs in Africa. I’ll be honest, a lot of the aid is a scam and goes towards consultants(mostly from abroad) who couldn’t give a feck. Africa problems will only be solved locally and through local financing.

That's the only reason why I'm actually for RFK, if he can hold off on the batshit reasoning of Vaccines (amongst other things) he does have very good thoughts on chemicals like red 40 that are prevalent in American foods, since I've lived here for the past 10 years I've got fatter (I'm now on Ozempic lolz so 170lb from 220) but specific eggs here make me itchy, I definitely can't eat any form of meat so I'm vegetarian which would be okay if they didn't spray chemical galores on thing so I have to be weirdly organic specifical on what I do buy - luckily I know a farmer who does his own crops

You're making out like everything to eat in the US is bad or dangerous and it also reads that it's all responsible for you putting on weight. Without being rude, I'm pretty sure reducing your calorie intake and exercising regularly helps in keeping your weight down?
