The Trump Presidency - Part 2

I’d love to say it’s the trump administration and not the people of the US, but recent elections say otherwise.

You can only say “not the people” for so long. People voted for this. People are actively supporting this right now. There’s enough to say it very much is a significant chunk of the people as much as it is the administration.

People were arguing earlier about whether Trump, Vance or Musk were the most powerful person in the White House.

Putin wields more influence than all 3 of them put together. It’s his house and his US government now.

Trump having the gall to accuse anyone else of disrespecting the Oval Office today was staggering. Utterly, utterly shameful.

Europe is tip toeing towards a war we won’t be ready for. The bandaid needs to be ripped off swiftly and the US needs to be isolated as a rogue state immediately. Trade bans, tariffs, travel bans - whatever it takes. America are the bad guys now.

...

Some of you need to feel the difference between a 50-50 polarized country with two unpopular candidates like the US, and India where the Right has 66%+ approval and organic support for the worst of its policies.

Why was it even televised? The pair of those cnuts have just humiliated him on live TV.
Because Russia’s TASS was there and this was an ambush. Pure Putin propaganda.
He will thank Agent Krasnov later.

How they convinced themselves Zelensky, not Putin, is the bad guy here is nothing short of amazing. I’d actually want to possess this ability to convince myself of anything I want to believe in, life must be so easy then.

He doesn't actually believe Zelensky is the bad guy. He is just a shameless career politician.

The answer is easy, they haven’t. They’ve just decided that it is to their advantage to suckle on the syphalitic orange toadstool.

Is there a more spineless waste of space of a politician than Lady G?

Lindsey Graham has always been very explicit about getting Ukraines resources, but also has as far as I know always supported Zelensky and spoken out against Putin. Bit surprised to see this from him, but that feels very naive to say now.

There is nothing surprising about Graham being a spineless coward.

I hear what you're saying, berba. I guess one specific frustration with the situation in the US is that getting just over 50% enables such a large shift in policy. Not that it is new that this could happen, more that for a while it didn't in some spheres of policy.

Pretty much stuff like this is why I keep far away from American politcs. They make ours back home here competent.

So, what exactly do Trump/Moscow got on this guy?

He was a completely different person 10 years ago.

I used to believe he was compromised, but now I just think he’s a sniveling, cowardly, little bitch.

He was McCain’s bitch, now he is Trump’s bitch. He gets attached to powerful people and willingly becomes their bitch.

Just that McCain, for GOP extremely low standards, was not as bad as Trump and other MAGA politicians.

That's the part that I keep thinking about and one of the reason why Europe, Canada and few others shouldn't never under any circumstance consider or treat the US as an ally, they have extremely weak institutions and they have a population that is willing to exploit it to their advantage. It's a bad combination for everyone involved.

Then again, what about the 2016 leaks that only went one way? What about all of these republicans that celebrated national day in Moscow?

Definitely feels like these guys are actually compromised, beyond a mere primary challenge.

I expected Trump to be alot of things but never this.
Really? I expect him to do even more horrible things. Just watch. That's all that the world will do not realizing his actions will be detrimental to the entire world. Every other nation is calmly looking and laughing at his antics but this man will bring everyone down if he's not stopped.

I would buy the compromised argument if it wasn’t the entire fecking party that is acting this way. They are all either scared for their lives/positions or totally down with all of this.

US's position is now 100% clear (if it wasn't already), let's see if europe does any better than words now.

Yep. I expect things to get dramatically worse home and abroad.

The time to prevent this was last year, but oops.
