The Trump Presidency - Part 2

Trump on Ukraine:

"I hear that they're upset about not having a seat, well, they've had a seat for three years and a long time before that. This could have been settled very easily," he said.

"You should have never started it. You could have made a deal," he later added.

That is the actual quote from this idiot. Who the feck says that line about a country has been invaded by another. This should be thrown in the faces of those Trump supporting politicans and plastered everywhere. I’m sure they will have their excuses ready. What an absolute cnut.
Russia has played a blinder here. They’ve somehow convinced the American rubes that Ukraine is the bad guy and that Russias and Americas interests are aligned.

Trump hates Zelensky for not giving him anything on Hunter Biden. Ukraine is fecked sadly, unless Europe can get its act together.

Any cost savings will no doubt be made up and then some once private companies start taking over what they did before or to undo the damage done. Not to mention the tax plan that conveniently gets forgotten about that will add a multifold of that back to the national debt. Cutting things is the easy part.
The thread shows how it's not even made up.
It's pathetically awful peabrained miscalculations.

@Sweet Square what are your thoughts currently? IIRC you thought the fears of fascism we’re hyperbole, or at least you took issue with the specific language - “fascism” and felt Trump would sit within the conventional American political paradigm?

In all my years, I have never heard such a distortion of reality. Not even from Boris Johnson.

Trump has reset the definition of narcissistic behaviour.
I, me, look how clever I am...

And of course the real clever one here is Putin who has invaded another country and is a convicted war criminal and has managed to convince the US leaders that it is Ukraine who is the one to blame. Just brilliant.

Is it though?

Biden's and Obama's have been way higher as a GDP% (Which is what really matters) than Trump I, Dubya.

Since 2000 there has been 3 terms of GOP Presidents and 3 terms of Dem presidents. Not counting the 1 month Trump has been in charge.

Dubya's first term averaged a 0.3% deficit.

Dubya's second term average a 2.18% deficit.

Obama's first term averaged a 7.45% deficit

Obama's second term averaged a 3.95% deficit.

Trump's first term averaged a 3.73% deficit

Biden's first term averaged a 9.5% deficit.

So a worldwide financial crisis and a global pandemic.

Those bloody Dems throwing money around for no reason, eh.

'its worth Trump winning so that the Democrats can move further left and give us a party we can be happy with'

This is the official White House account.

Starmer's Home Office released a similar sort of video a few weeks ago, looks like they have taken inspiration from that and upped it a notch with the slave era chains.

Bah, for the first ever time I actually lie in bed worrying about the world my kids will be in in 20 years.

Why are we such a shite species.

Brilliant is a stretch, I'd say given Trump's personality, "easy" was the better superlative.

Feel like I am waking up to worse news coming out of America every day now. Utterly depressing,

The whole world is watching on and going to do nothing though. And justifying it.

Our Taoiseach is sitting waiting for the invite on Paddy's Day. Saying on the quiet how we disagree with things Trump is doing, but how we have to go to protect our own economy and jobs etc. Sometimes you have to make a stand. Saying "we're only little here in Ireland and this is our chance to sit down and reason with Trump" is nonsense. We'll go over there, smile and pose with a bunch of shamrock while Trump couldn't give a feck about Ireland. I actually hope he doesn't extend the invite.

Trump Media Group Sues Brazilian Judge Weighing Arrest of Jair Bolsonaro

The lawsuit came hours after the justice received an indictment of Brazil’s former president, who is an ally of President Trump.

President Trump’s media company sued a Brazilian Supreme Court justice on Wednesday, accusing him of illegally censoring right-wing voices on social media.

The unusual move was made all the more extraordinary by its timing: Just hours earlier, the Brazilian justice had received an indictment that would force him to decide whether to order the arrest of Jair Bolsonaro, the former Brazilian president and an ally of Mr. Trump. The justice is overseeing multiple criminal investigations into Mr. Bolsonaro.

The Trump Media & Technology Group — which is majority owned by Mr. Trump and runs his Truth Social site — sued the Brazilian justice, Alexandre de Moraes, in U.S. federal court in Tampa on Wednesday morning. Joining as a plaintiff was Rumble, a Florida-based video platform that, like Truth Social, pitches itself as a home for free speech.
The companies accused Justice Moraes of censoring political discourse in the United States and infringing upon the First Amendment by ordering Rumble to remove the accounts of certain right-wing Brazilian pundits.

Global right-wing movement.

Jesus Christ.
The same people who enjoy this masturbate to footage from concentration camps. They are the most vile and disgusting people around and it’s sickening to know, that they walk right among us. Anyone who enjoys this deserves to be struck by lightning.

The Dems were the GOP up until Nixon's Southern Strategy.

Also, fiscal deficit wise, whilst its a complete distraction, historically both Dems and Republicans have been the same

https://www.thebalancemoney.com/us-deficit-by-year-3306306

In recent years, the deficit has been much larger under Democratic administrations than Republican ones.
How recent? Biden ran it up because of the pandemic, instrad of letting the economy fail. Clinton had a surplus, Obama reduced it compared to Bush and Trump.

The recent trend is, Republicans run up the deficit and Democrats have to fix the mess.

What worries me even more is the complete apathy of the rest.

I mean, that's an official tweet from the White House, for Christ sake.

That’s driving me crazy, too. The American people, even those who will likely be affected by all this, aren’t doing anything at all. They are just letting it happen.

Boris trying to justify Trumps comments, with his argument being he's obviously not telling the truth, but its for the greater good. fecking hypocritical twat, with all his pro ukraine / never surrender bollox before.

In fairness Micheál should make it clear that he's not going to accept an invitation, should it be made. At some point someone has to take a stand.

Reminds me of the BAE/Saudi Arabia scandal where the British government allowed a close relationship between the two and magically all these Saudis started spending lavishly around the world even by their standards. Makes you wonder if the media ever could look closer at the money coming in with our very own politicians and power players rather than those of other countries. I'm sure Boris could use the money for his estate.

Remember, 75% of my fellow Americans wanted this. The super majority of my country is getting exactly what it wanted.
