The Trump Presidency - Part 2

Cares about the country

Even if you voted for him because you think he's cool or whatever, there's no excuse except brainrot to think he actually cares about the country. Most of his supporters probably don't think does. Because he so obviously doesn't.
Cares about the country so much he got Ivanka 40 Chinese patents exempt from tariffs
Cares about the country so much he got Jared 2 billions dollar in Saudi funding for his hedge fund
Cares about the country so much he withheld aids from blue states after disasters (Hurricane Helene NC/CA bushfires)
Cares about the country so much he stashed classified documents in his bathroom and fought federal authority for a year before turning them over.

So on and so forth

But the biggest fecking one of them:

Cares about the country so much HE feckING INCITED A RIOT AT THE US CAPITOL THAT FORCED CONGRESS TO STOP CERTIFYING THE ELECTION THAT HE LOST, STOPPING THE PEACEFUL TRANSFER OF POWER FOR THE 1ST TIME IN US HISTORY.

Breaking US law or facilitating someone breaking it, isn't what the media do. So back to square one you go.

Back to the topic of Pompeo being a vile piece of shit for plotting to murder of foreign journalist who hadn't been convicted of crime we go.

The same "journalist" who helped the Russian GRU leak information for the purposes of manipulating a US election on behalf of Vladimir Putin. Nice try.

Anyone who refers to Julian Assange as a "journalist" needs to seriously re-evaluate what he's done.

He's consistently compromised the national security of the West, got hold of operational level plans and tactical level documentation of said operations, which led to the deaths of active servicemen of Multiple Western countries. He leaked the identities implicitly of multiple actively serving MI5 and CIA assets around the world, resulting in their deaths.

Julian Assange should be in ADX Florence. Absolute disgrace of a human being and a pathetic excuse of a journalist. A drone strike is too good for him (despite it being stupid due to the diplomatic implications), but Pompeo was more than right that the man was a genuine bonda-fide class A threat to national security and has yet to face the consequences of his actions.

No, no, let’s get back to Pompeo—a truly vile piece of work. So delightful that he’s nowhere near the next US administration

Your view won't be happy to learn Mike Rogers and Marco Rubio, both pro-Ukraine anti-Putin hawks, are being considered for Secretary of Defense and Secretary of State. Best of luck with the pro-Russia view.

It is going to be Grenell though, a very anti-hawk. No idea if they will get the votes in Senate to confirm him.

NB: To be fair, they probably will. Even if Murkowski, Collins and someone else vote no, JD will break the tie.

Don't forget they still need the likes of Graham, Rubio, Cotton - all Ukraine hawks (there are more). If Rubio is selected, he will sail through.

There's also a bit of a delusional view that there is something called "America First" or anti-interventionism in the Trump orbit. The only view that matters is Trump's personal view at the time he makes a decision.

They will all fail in line like the little bitches they are and go and kiss Trump's ring, I mean arse.

The only ones who might vote against are those that are primary-proofs, essentially Murkowski and Collins.

From what I've heard Grennel is a dark horse. That doesn't mean Trump won't select him, but he would face more blowback from within the Republican party if he did, not to mention a lot of bad press from the media. Rubio or Hagerty, would sail through confirmation.

But he is personally very loyal to Trump, which I think is why he will get it. If they really cannot get votes in the Senate, then he'll get National Security Advisor, which under Trump's administration might be even more important than Secretary of State, and won't require Senate confirmation.

Are you...a parody?

Last I recall, you're the one who was mocked out of the Ukraine thread for making a bunch of bullshit statements and then when refuted with evidence, decided to just abandon ship rather than face up to your lies.

I'm well aware of the deal for his release - it's a complete shitshow of a decision.

Yep, same guy.

He’s in his second term, he’s nearly 80, his brain is melting, he’s nasty, vindictive and has a score to settle with the media. He is not going to give one single feck what the liberal media say about him.

As for Republicans, he’s their monarch. There will be no blowback from them because every single one would rather swallow than spit.

Michigan voters seeking to influence Trump's picks. ;)

And people think that he ll actually care what they have to say now. He got his votes, and is term limited (or will install himself permanently). In other words, he has less reasons to give a feck what his voters want than before. Or should I say - certain groups of voters.

Your fixation on Russia and Putin is really something special. We might need a Redcafe edition of Godwin's Law—just swap Hitler out for Putin ;-)

Parody? Please. I don’t have the time or patience to keep correcting every clueless take on Ukraine. At the end of the day, Trump’s plan is to leave Ukraine to fend for itself while Russia grabs what it wants. I’ll stand by that—feel free to twist your knickers in a knot if it helps.

And as for Assange, even the U.S. Justice Department admitted no one was harmed by the disclosures, as noted in the court agreement before his release. But hey, thanks for the laugh.

So in summary, you would advocate for WW3 by allowing Putin to take Ukraine and use it as a staging point to go after Eastern Europe. Interesting

You clearly do have the time since you keep responding. Didn’t you learn any lessons about Russian expansion into Eastern Europe in your country of origin ?

Tell us more about it as you seem well-versed on all things Eastern Europe.

 this is so unsurprising.

Let’s not forget: in the second month of the Ukraine war, a peace deal was on the table—so close the Ukrainian delegation was popping champagne. One of their own negotiators even said, 'we were very close... to finalize our war with some peaceful settlement,' and 'Putin really wanted to reach some peaceful settlement with Ukraine, it's very important to remember". Here’s the talk, timestamp included [28:00], in case you’ve got three minutes:

But Biden, Nuland, BoJo, and the neocons shot it down. Now, here we are with hundreds of thousands dead, countless wounded. Pure madness. If anyone’s dragged us closer to WWIII, it’s these geniuses.

But hey, at least the U.S. finally has leadership with some common sense. Trump actually understands great power politics a bit better than the delusional crowd running the show for the past 20 years. Count yourself lucky, @Raoul

Whilst I disagree Trump has common sense there is some truth to this, also made a few defence companies rich too. They have given enough weapons and aid to keep Ukraine in the fight which has just led to a stalemate and continued conflict and nothing more. In a way it's been detrimental to the poor Ukrainians cause as it looks like they will end up losing the war anyway.

Do you have the data to back this up?

I posted months ago all the back-buys that the US military did with the MIC in order to hand over to AFU and the number results in something like 400 million USD across 2 years.

There were no back-fills for almost anything other than Javelins and PAC-3 MSE.
