can you be specific? Which acts?

Corruption and bribery. Your last post highlight two things, first you are right about the fact that something legal isn't necessarily moral. The second thing is that you jump the gun, for example you talk about corrupted politician but to be corrupted his behavior has to be influenced and he needs to act contrary to his duty. The problem is that you have plenty of people, politicians included who have the same line than most lobbyists, a politician can be elected because of that political line and in that case he is just doing what he promised, he isn't corrupted.

The important part is the modification of normal behavior or past convictions by what could be seen as undue rewards. You need to demonstrate the first part, if you can then we are indeed in bribery territory.

I watched the Comey testimony yesterday whilst eating crumpets, it felt very English.

I watched it in a room with gold curtains, table and palm trees. I need a lot of crumpets to get over how disgustingly ostentatious it felt.

Good post. The lines are blurred. Proving it is the difficult part because the framework and loopholes are there to be exploited.

We see in the states that banks, big pharma and other interest groups are legally allowed to contribute millions to get people in power who then sign in bills to the detriment and exploitation of the people for epic profits. It is not illegal as its been worked into the legal framework.

Blocked by Trump. Bravo!

Edit: Ha! I'm fascinated by the replies that say it may be unconstitutional to block her seeing as she's an American citizen and it's part of the public record, so she has a right to see them. Very interesting!

Trump is just so damn thick! He thinks because Comey said Trump isn't being investigated Trump thinks that is vindication and proof of his innocence. What the great giant orange buffoon doesn't realise though is that Comey flat out called him a liar and accused him of obstruction of justice. The trouble is, Trump doesn't think that is illegal or worth bothering about, so in his one track, tiny mind he is innocent and has been vindicated.

Trump's reactions in all this tell a far bigger story than any of it, imho.

It’s the obvious narrative he was going to spin based on yesterday

From what I can see on twitter and the likes, many of his supporters agree. I honestly do not think yesterday has damaged him in the slightest with his supporters

Who cares about his die hard 37% or so

Exactly right, it was obvious, and right again that this will not damage him at all, probably the opposite for a while until he does something else.

Who cares about his die hard 37% or so

Well it was 34% two days ago, and while I do not agree with many of them, I still care and they are as entitled to their opinion as I am mine. Whichever way you look at it, 34% is still an awful lot of people and the Dems just need to keep working hard trying to reach them and not ignoring them, because that tactic really didn't work well previously and it bit them in the ass last November.

Anyone know how the algorithm for twitter responses works [if that makes sense]?

Trump's responses are always full of random verified accounts posting tweet after tweet of childish memes. I feel definitely some people are trying to use it for the gain of their own popularity which is far from holding the president to account.

I fear you underestimate American voters.
It's a bit like the UK election compared to Brexit, the young will turn out next time.
famous last words

And dont forget all the supporters who stay quiet
Even the notoriously unfavorable Hillary would have won it if she campaigned at the right places to ensure a win rather than go for a landslide. If she had concentrated to her supposed wall, she'd have got it.
The Democratic Pary is viewed even less favourably than him.

Never underestimate the stupidity of the average American voter.

See above, if the next Dem candidate concentrated on what they need instead of what they'd like, they should be able to win it.

Look what the cat puked up - with new anti-Comey talking points as well.

Where's the logic here? He passed his notes to a friend to pass to the media because what? He was scared of giving them to a journalist? Are all journalists frighting or something? This 6ft 8in former director of the FBI was scared of meeting up with a journalist

Scared of getting caught? How long has he been in the game? If he wanted to leak it to a journalist without getting caught he'd have done so without breaking stride. Maybe he could have popped them into David Johnson's letterbox and assume nobody would know it was him. Also, he quite clearly has no issue with it being known he provided the notes, he's talking about it quite freely in an open hearing with the Senate Intelligence Committee for feck sake.

Norm Eisen having a pop at Trump's lawyer for abusing his role.

Trump's lawyers think they can scare seasoned DC professionals like they do with small time contractors by refusing to pay for services and hoping they would back down not wanting to face litigation costs. Its seriously funny how small time one trick ponies these people are.

Apparently no renowned D.C based lawyer is willing to represent Drumpf, hence he has to stick with the motley crew he used to scam money off Trump U folks.

I saw a reply to Drumpf's tweet saying that his private lawyer isn't licenced to practice in D.C, is there any truth to that?

Just adopt the "A Few Good Men" approach. Get him under oath and in a position where he wants to brag about doing whatever he pleases.

If question one isn't "is there a pee tape?" then what is Mueller even for.

He has absolutely zero problem with lying under oath. It's whether he says anything they can prove to be false. He will, because he's really, really, really dumb.
