The Trump Presidency | Biden Inaugurated

My question for my Trump loving colleagues tomorrow...

As an educators, are we going to start accepting "alternative facts" as correct answers, instead of marking them incorrect?

Be careful, you'll soon be hounded out of town with pitchforks.

You watch commie sports like soccer, you don't support Trump and you post on a message board full of mostly gay Europeans.

From the other Trump thread

Reading the comments, do these people think for themselves? They keep suggesting that nobody cares about his tax returns. Really? Are they that fcuking dense? Paid trolls, looking more and more likely...

Fox is a conservative news channel. I don't think anybody ever accused Sean Hannity of fair-mindedness.

Still, when it comes to someone like Bill O Reilly, I'd have more confidence in his inclusion of all the facts in any story, rather than ignoring those parts of reality which didn't fit his ideological narrative, than I'd trust a mainstream liberal journalist to behave with similar integrity.

The highly selective picture of American life reflected in the mainstream media is ideologically biased. How can anyone deny that?

Bill O Reilly? Facts? Doesn't speak on his ideological narrative?

You're serious as well that's what's really astounding.

Hell I already outed myself to them as a Sanders voter last year. They know I'm not afraid of them.

You can't explain that.

You can't explain that.

I'm simply saying that the liberal media edit and censor their accounts of American life. An example might be the Rodney King tapes, shown hundreds of times on American television, with one section of tape, in which King behaved aggressively towards police officers, deliberately edited out.

In this case the media played a major role in provoking riots in American cities which might well have led to loss of life. In recent times they've done much the same thing, in what they choose to show and what they choose to ignore.

How bad must his tax returns be? You'd think they had "gifts from Putin" listed in them the way they're trying to avoid it.

Exactly! I mean, Obama eventually published his birth certificate in order to put that story to bed. Why can't Trump publish his taxes?

I hear he paid VAT on this DVD...

We all know it would bust him politically. If there was no harmful information to gain from it Trump would have released it already.

It's funny that the likes of @Americano and @Will Absolute and @the unknown one. will all come into the thread gloating about Trump and his victory etc, but fail to actually defend many of the paradoxes of his political ideology or many of his views, beliefs and plans. All of them will, of course, complain about the supposedly biased liberal narrative, yet most kind of come in, make scattering comments and moan about how hard it is being ridiculed, and then feck off again without actually backing up their views.

@Paz has at least demonstrated some willingness to defend his own views or have a genuine discussion once or twice, but then has often fallen into a similar trap as well.

Just caught up with Graham and McCain voting for Tillerson

Drowning men will reach for even a sword. The snowflakes who hoped those two would in any way shape or form be principled should learn their lesson now.

Exactly. There is zero chance that GOP will present anything but an united front to this administration.

I've never complained about being ridiculed. I find it amusing. :D

Fair enough. But do you actually intend to defend any of his views, or plans, for example? Or the hypocrisy in decrying the supposedly liberal media of being biased against him when you'll quite happily run and cower to Fox News yourself?

The media has a role to play during this presidency so I hope they don't go for the shiny object each time but stay focused on the issues that actually matter. It's not starting too well though when they're spending time talking about crowd sizes.

I would say that you would be unable to have a coherent political argument other than Trump Won boo hoo for you. But then thats the type of intellect he successfully aimed for and won over. I will however be amazed if he makes the full first term.

Looking at the statistics, you are literally trying to have a discussion with the fat guy at Walmart driving a scooter. Why are people surprised?

They post in quite different ways, but that's their unifying factor. Like I said a while back, waltz in, chuck a hand grenade of an opinion and then disappear long enough for it to be forgotten

Don't forget @George Owen for that list.

To be fair to George he's more of an out and out anarchist than an actual Trump supporter. Which is still a baffling position to take, but he's at least consistent; he wants to see the complete destruction of the establishment so the people can have power. It's a very extreme view to take but he'll usually stick around for five and six posts to try and back it up.

Yeah but his five or six posts have the same content, every single time, so...

That's true. You lack sufficient interest in the stuff you write to object to it being treated with disdain.

Be reasonable. I'm outnumbered 10 to 1 on this forum. Much as I might like to, I haven't got the time or the energy to respond to every post asking me to expand on my viewpoint. It's not 'hit and run', it's self-preservation - I don't want to sink into a quicksand of endless disputation.

Always with zero specifics though. That's the point at which he disappears.

Okay, repeat after me 'I, Will Absolute, hereby declare that my posts are to be taken seriously'.
