Been a while since I've seen Jimmy Carter appear in public.
Now he was not a great President but he echoed what was good and right about "The American Dream". His speeches and ideals still have resonance today so he wasn't as bad as some make him out. And his post-presidency work is of the highest order. He's certainly a great man - honourable and truthful.
Trump is the opposite. He echoes the worst traits. Narcissistic, bully and an unwavering attitude that it's never his fault.
They share one similarity - they both got the keys to the White House as political outsiders. Hopefully they'll have one more - both one-term Presidents. Other than that Trump doesn't belong in the same class as Jimmy Carter.
