So if trump doesn't leave then would nato be justified in invading usa in order to bring freedom and democracy ?

This could be our chance to re-establish the American colonies. Then exile all Trump supporters to the Falkland Islands.

Pass. We already had our Brexit.

It may be too late for escape. Harry and Meghan are already in the States, establishing base camp for the Return of the King .... or the Queen, in this case.

You could install a puppet president who would privatise all US incarceration and let british companies exploit their labor while imposing costs of the subhuman living conditions on US tax payers. Under the freedom banner of course.

Well..feck. Cant we just make Harry our king? Seems like the cooler dude. Then we ll go to war over the throne of England. To make it fair we ll only use a quarter of our military so Prince Willy gets an extra day believing they're in the game.

Lets see what the batshit crazy bastard has lined up for us this time..

You know we’ve still got a military, right?

Met some American soldiers in Spain two or three years ago. They were all eager Trump supporters and as far as I know the support for Trump in the military is overage which kind of makes sense given that the army might be more attractive to people who have a soft spot for guns, strong patriotism etc. Not that I expect it but just out of curiosity, do you think that would become a problem if they really had to act against Trump?

Nope country first

Unfortunately, Donald, the "expose" has to occur in a court of law. The Hannity show on Fox News - and I know you may find this confusing - is not actually reality.

Their oath is to protect the Constitution of the United States against all foreign and domestic enemies... so no, I don’t worry about it.

As long as you keep Canada out of it this time!

The decison of whether an order is constitutional or not seems to fall on the officers (realistically). So if a crirical mass of comissioned officers are trumpist (something we have no info on) , I guess maybe there is a reason for some worry ?

There would be a massive revolt within the ranks if some four-star general ordered the next general to the next general to the next colonel to mobilize infantry/other forces. More than half the military do not like Trump. I'd tell my CO to feck off with that kind of order to defend Trump/attack other Americans, and being an E-8/superintendent I'd refuse to carry out an order to my junior enlisted. I'd claim conscientious objector to an immoral order, would result in my discharge (or death if they overtook the nation) or retirement as I'm eligible. My CO would then go to the next senior enlisted.

It would never go below JCS in my opinion. They know the ramifications of such. It wear tear apart the military as a whole.

Re. bolded part, is it fair to assume the percentages are similar as to those among civilians ?

That I'm not sure. I'd guess it's more aligned to the rest of America - regional. Many GS/WG and other public servants tend to work in an area they grew up in/within a certain radius or elected to move to. Some that were military often took up a job at that installation after retirement or separation, some were spouses/dependents of military.

The part of the military I'd think would be more representative of a local populace would be the guard and reserve sector. Many guard and reserve tend to remain in one spot for most of their career, not counting deployments and TDYs, and often in/near that home radius.

This is just from my experiences and observations, there are outliers and other factors I'm probably not taking into account. While I was stationed at Robins AFB, an overwhelming number of GS/WG employees were local to that area or the state. It's also one of the biggest employers in the state.

The officers are the least likely in the military to be pro-Trump.

“The splits between officer and enlisted views within the poll are notable. More than 59 percent of officers said they have a poor view of the president, with more than half saying they strongly disapprove.

Among enlisted respondents, 47 percent said they have an unfavorable view, and nearly 39 percent a favorable view. Enlisted views of Trump’s performance in office have consistently been more favorable than those of officers in the poll over the last four years.”

The problem I see with this polling is does it take into account that more military likely lean conservative/Republican and may toe the party line?

Officers I could see doing less so as if they're tasked to carry out missions and orders that are likely being handed down by an inept, corrupt administration then perhaps fewer would toe the line in order to ensure a new administration came in. But you'll still have assholes like Flynn at high levels willing to sell out for personal gain, power grab, ideology, etc.

Enlisted will go along racial lines IMO, and to be frank, Army and Marines are not the brightest of the Armed Forces. However, Army probably has the largest percentage of minorities which may counter that dumbass redneck infantryman who constantly pissed his mates off with "O'bummer" and "MAGA" comments when drunk.

In the article MilitaryTimes talks about limitations in their polling.

I am talking without any knowledge, but didn't the army from the southern states take the same oath when the US civil war happened?

I’ve long gotten to that point - past the point of disbelief and I look at trump from 2 perspectives: pure entertainment value (like watching a comedy act unfold) and he’s also everything that is wrong with this world, and yet he still has a cult following.
Im still trying to get to that pt.
Understandable. It impacts you directly doesn’t it? As iirc, you’re from the states? It’s appalling man. Mankind has definitely regressed and all this so called progress we made is being destroyed by people like trump (& now they’re appearing all over the world with their distorted views)

It was Donald himself as a blacked out witness

Regardless of the voice, the idea that the Democrats would be dumb enough to use their own Biden/Harris marked vans to defraud the election ballots is beyond ridiculous. Who do these people think they are fooling?

That sounds like a pretty basic voice filter just spitting the audio into two channels, one with a higher pitch one with a lower pitch. Surely not that difficult to reverse engineer?

That's the problem. 70% of republican voters are buying it.
Apparently not. Yesterday I read a report saying 8 in 10 believe Biden won fairly
Theres a lot of hurt voters right now but theres no way their base falls for this. In 2 months when everybody has sobered up this will be as obvious to them as it is now to the rest of us.
I honestly cant believe the Republicans are killing their party for 4 more years of Trump. Its not even a Putin style stay as long as you want role, its literally 4 years against an anicient president who probably wont stand for reelection anyway.

Although it's a poll, guardian reported 70 percent of republicans don't believe the election was fair
