The Trump Presidency | Biden Inaugurated

How can you come to any other conclusion right now that some serious serious shit is looming over some of Trump's and republicans heads if they're going this far to undermine an election, transition and future Presidency? Theyre pissed the voter suppression such as shutting down polls, tampering with mail delivery, fear mongering about absentee voting etc wasn't quite enough to get the result they wanted.

Im pissed because these guys are now acting like the majority vote and democratic process doesn't matter after we ve been repeatedly told to "deal with it" and that "he s your president" after the prior election that actually had a bunch of legitimate proof that tampering did occur. I guess America is only the greatest country to them if it does what they want.

What an odd tweet. On the one hand it looks like it's appeasing the uber Trumpists, but then you read "until every LEGAL vote is counted" which implies that he accepts that legal votes are still being counted/nor does it suggest there are illegal votes still to be counted. This just reads like he wants all votes to be counted before the verdict is made.

It's written as a get of jail free card when they likely move on from Trump. Pence can play to either side later on.
"I was always on the side of justice and once Biden was confirmed I moved forward to help unite our nation."
And to Trump's cultists, "I was always on the side of Trump and will continue to back him and your quest for freedom against our socialist overlords."

Pence is dead politically without trump.

He's a nobody and will continue to be one.

Wont matter after Trump's gone

He's going to win isn't he :(
Standard procedure - yell and yell with confidence about things being or going a certain way - then when it doesn't, blame it on whoever Qanon's favorite Guinea pig is that day.

The constant assault by this cnut and co on State's rights while still clinging to being the pro small government /anti government interference party is just yet another chapter to the hypocrisy.

If it was one state with a few votes in it, I would say yes. As it is, it’s a very convincing victory and it’s over. He’s not going to win 4+ states in the courts who have all carried out their elections as per state constitutions and established Biden convincingly as the winner.

Its becoming increasingly clear that whether he finally stands aside or not for Biden - that he plans to run a shadow government of sorts at the rate he is going. He ll attempt to have a 2024 campaign over-shadow the entirety of the Biden presidency. Which of course will be very ironic coming from Mr. Deep State, and he'll have folks like Gym Jordan and Graham to help him.
Then it becomes a real test of MSM on how much coverage they provide. Let's see if they can resist the ad dollar Trump offers.

I guess our hope is that his dementia really kicks in within a couple of years or he gets covid19 again!

He's going to win isn't he :(
He will win the same way his healthcare plan is two weeks away. He's full of shit, always has been full of shit and anyone that thinks otherwise is an idiot. The smart people who have latched on to this clown for the last 45 years did it for the money but now they do it because they have a warped idea of power.

As if fecking up the country for four years wasn't enough. He's really going to test everything down before he goes, isn't he? Make people question the democratic process and fire anyone of importance purely because he's a man-child who can't accept he lost.

Americans should be ashamed of themselves for electing someone like him. Not only that 7 million Americans voted for him.
What's the difference between that guy in Belarus and Trump now?

It’s surreal. MORE people voted for him now, versus 4 years ago. Shows you how screwed mankind and their value system is.

I've come to a point where I just laugh at half the shit that's going on. Crazy world.

What would actually happen if Trump overturns the election? He seems to be firing people at will and going all or nothing. Surely the US has some kind of firewall to stop it but had they ever envisioned someone like Trump not giving a damn about protocols and history.

Well technically they have 2nd amendment, which would ironic if used against Trump and friends, I suppose

Checks and balances don't prevent fascism. The only thing deciding right now whether Trump takes control or not is who is willing to ignore his orders, that's it.
He wouldn't even need the majority of the police or army to enforce his rule because the good guys would step aside.

So if trump doesn't leave then would nato be justified in invading usa in order to bring freedom and democracy ?

Could this behavior increase the prospect of Biden forgoing the act of pardoning Trump for any illegal activities during his presidency? I got the impression that there might have been an agreement of 'you go away and never come back and I don't investigate' but surely the temptation now would be to show that this type of behavior has consequences. I guess it could upset a lot of Trump's power base but this type of behavior can't be encouraged surely?!

Trump will get pardoned and then he'll come back in 2024. When the dems throw allegations at him he'll counter that if he had done anything wrong then the dems wouldn't have let him off the hook. Win-win.

That's why the states and private entities pursuing lawsuits is the (only?) most viable option.
