How bad is this for Trump then? I only really go on the Guardian so live in a bit of a news bubble.

They've obviously been making a big deal of it, but suspect it's just one of those things that won't stick to him and will be forgotten about in a week?
This will have some legs, but it’s debatable how much lasting impact it will have.

it seems mostly a re-hash of what was known years ago - that said its been weaponised well and is now being used to attack his credibility as a businessman rather than his honesty when it comes to taxes
personally i suspect it will literally be yesterdays news by the time he has said something crazy at the debate

He's survived everything else. I'm old enough to remember when a scandal like Bill Clinton's was enough to virtually destroy a man in that position and yet just the other week we have accusations of a similar kind made against Trump and it just gets brushed off. Obviously the two scenarios aren't the same thing but it just seems strange to me that in the case of Donald, it holds the people's attention for the space of just a few days before we move on to the next 'scandal'.

When all this is over it will be astonishing to go through the catalogue of things he's said and done (alleged or otherwise).

I hope so ... my bigger worry is that another 4 years of this and hes moved the overton window so far on what we expect from high office that it wont be as shicking looking back as it would have been if you showed somebody what would happen back in 2016

Stop worrying.. Its going to be all bark no bite.. He will lose bigly and he can cry all he wants, nothing will happen.

Biden should slam him Donnie falsifying his medical records and just say why should he agree to one if Donnie is just gonna hide the truth about his. Or just challenge him to a ramp walk.

Forget the debate I wanna see Biden vs Trump on American Ninja Warriors.

At this point I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Trump challenged him to a dance off during the debates.

Apparently his wife (the female in the early parts of the clip) had bruises on her face & arms from a domestic violence incident a few days ago that she didn’t report.

Biden should get one of those Publisher’s Clearinghouse checks for $750, illegibly scribble his name the size of a shoebox on the ‘Payer’ line, write out ‘DJT’s 2020 tax liability’ on the ‘Memo’ line, & hand it to the president in lieu of an initial handshake.

Why is Turtle so hell bent on confirming judges when their orders don't even need to be followed?

Placating the thumpers means hopeful votes for them.

Less to do with Evangelicals than it is to do with big business. Once SCOTUS reverses Chevron deference, it will largely castrate all executive agencies' ability to implement regulations. It would cripple the EPA, Department of Energy, Department of the Interior, etc. to the benefit of the wealthy and corporations. At present, Congress has delegated substantial latitude for implementing the law to agencies where there is substantial knowledge and expertise to devise effective regulations. McConnell and Republicans want to gut that and destroy the administrative state. McConnell has stacked the courts to abet the Republicans in their attempt to do this even as their popularity and power wanes. Who needs to win elections if the courts overturn everything your opponent does?
