Because it makes him look like less of an idiot to his supporters? He lies about everything regardless of how important it is. Unless he takes it live on TV with someone verifying that the pills he's taking are hydroxychloroquine or he gets sick from it, I won't believe him claiming to take it.

His base is gone, that's a given. I'm generally just kind of sad that they've allowed themselves to brain-washed like they have, lots are genuinely good people but caught in a bubble.
The democrats can win the election if they show up. That's all that is required. Dems can't lose if enough of them show up. The only way to beat the dems is with democratic apathy. More likely he saw a word he’d never seen before, spouted it off thinking it’d sound smart, and then never backed off it because feck science...he can’t be not smart.
Not really true, though. For decades hydroxychloroquine was used as a drug with very little sideeffects and now magically people are up in arms about it? Unlikely.
In addition all hydroxychloroquine + Covid studies right now have shown the same thing. It doesn't work when it is used late, it works quite well if it is used early on - including the italian study that found out that people with a certain illness (think it was lupus, but dont pin me on it) who use hydroxychloroquine have been unaffected by Covid.
How are the studies on injecting bleach working out? Because thats the horse ive backed, and to be honest, I'm not feeling great.

In reply to this, Trump said he didn't know why selling arms was a problem and that he should be able to sell them to whomever he wanted. In a follow up question about Saudi human rights issues he said he'd never heard about that and it was a stupid question from a stupid reporter.
Yet again he stoops lower and qulle surprise, not a damn thing will be done about it.

See I get this but I also think that having it happen as quickly as possible would be of more benefit to the world.
