It’s a evangelical belief coming from the Book of Acts. It’s used to invoke the holy spirit’s protection of the person you’re praying for and to annoint them as a person of power and responsibility in the eyes of god.

Yeah, I’ve seen my share of those happen in real life, and it is just as weird as it looks.

On Tuesday, a panel of judges with the New York Supreme Court ruled that Summer Zervos’ defamation lawsuit against President Donald Trump can be heard by the New York Court of Appeals — the highest judicial body in the state.

Zervos, a former contestant on “The Apprentice,” has alleged that Trump groped and kissed her without consent in 2007. She is one of over a dozen women who have made various accusations ranging from unwanted advances to rape.

“We remain confident that we will prove her defamation claim in court and that Mr. Trump will face responsibility for his actions,” said Zervos’ attorney, Beth Wilkinson, in a statement.


Trump’s attorneys have argued that he is immune from all federal and state proceedings, civil and criminal, as long as he is in office.

Is there actually a list of all the various court cases against him in the last year or so. Seems like everytime you look a new one is issued, and then nothing is heard about it again.
 
Mainly because you cant do much whilst he's in office, Presidents are usually protected by civil or whatever court cases, now when he leaves office then he'll get all of these to him.

401k is an employee stock plan. A lot of Americans do have them. It's a perk of employment usually where the company matches your own contributions to your retirement account.
 
The US political system is so dumb. So the House has voted to limit Trump's war powers but it doesn't amount to anything because it has to get past his buddies in the Senate.

Here's just a couple of beauties, including VP Pence admitting the Soleimani strike was retaliation to the death of a US citizen at the embassy and NOT due to intelligence on further attacks. In that last quote Pence isn’t referring to the Soleimani strike, he’s talking about the first strikes that targeted Kata’ib Hezbollah.

This is his real job, being president of the United States just gets in the way. These rallies will continue whether he's in office or out.
 
A little while ago ProPublica obtained a bunch of Trump’s tax returns from FOIA requests made around his NY properties.

They now claim that they’ve found major inconsistencies that they believe to warrant criminal investigation.

NY mayor Bill De Blasio has now confirmed that the city has also examined the docs and referred them to the NY district attorney‘s office.

De Blasio ran for the Democrat POTUS nomination until last year and the Trump org came out with this absolute gem in response to this story:

In an emailed statement, a Trump Organization spokeswoman blasted de Blasio for “using the power of his office to try and launch an investigation into his political opponent.” The statement called the allegations “unfounded and clearly motivated by politics.”
