The focus is always too much on Trump. If you look at historical approval and disapproval rating his numbers aren't significantly worse than any other president before him. He doesn't have the same highs in approval but he's not scoring lower in disapproval rating. The only difference between Trump and his predecessors in terms of rating is that he doesn't have these wild swings between his highs and lows meaning he's consistently had ~40% of people backing him no matter what which is the crux of the problem in the US from my POV.
