Everything about America's coverage on social and political situations seems so artificial and visually fake,especially with the big news corporations.
I feel like I cant differentiate between America's 'reality' and America's Hollywood 'fiction'.They both seamlessly blend into one-another.
So bizarre.

it is. its all just covered as a game or a horse race. chris cilizia is the worst for this but they all do it. cuomo was asking haberman how the trump staff thought this would go and what they thought of the speech. its like "how many politics points did we get today". just no coverage of any actual issues

Summary - We have a budget both agree on, pass it Mitch. Budget crisis created by Trump, employees cant live. Trump lies (4 fact checks) especially about the wall. For immigration, we shouldnt waste bns on a wall, we need immigration reform incl border security. Inhumane that children are torn away from parents at the border. Daca, threat of deportation over every illegal immigrant is heartbreaking. Trump creates fear. Diverts attn from real crisis is inequality, healthcare, declining life expectancy, and the biggest crisis: %in the not too distant future% planet will become uninhabitable.

it's the greatest channel in the world, dont disrespect.

he's an auteur. they have evolved to not putting people's names anymore, just their take on the debate #topic, so the audience knows whom to hate. that's because everyone talks over each other so you never catch a single sentence, and if there's silence the anchor himself starts shouting.

He doesn't want it either. If he wanted it this badly he would have pressured the repubs to give it to him in the last two years. This is another attempt to dominate the news cycle and at the same time please the base. The longer the shut down lasts, the more beneficial it is going to be for him. In normal circumstances the Dems would have taken over the house and the news would have been about all the investigations they were going to start & the subpoenas they were going to issue. Now, it is this distraction that everybody has to deal with it. He might be a moron but he & his team are media savants. They know how to play everyone like a fiddle. In two, three, four weeks - when this is over - they'll manufacture another outrageous crisis to distract. Trump is in a weaker position now, the next two years are going to see a bigger shit show than the last two.

If the fecking turtle neck had a spine and any shame he would pass measures to open the government. Though with true conservatism almost dead, race & cultural issues are only thing they have left. The new mantra for the repubs is own survival before country. And they need Trump for that.
