If memory serves me right it was Blackburn or Burnley but as they’re relatively small towns I’d agree with your overall point.
I do remember reading something about the government having a plan to send certain groups of immigrants to certain towns to help them integrate with the UK. Problem is they’ve created stress points in some of those northern towns allowing UKIP to take advantage

A quick google shows trump post election rallies get between 5,000 - 11,000 people. The tommy Robinson march thing earlier this year in the uk was around 5,000.
But yes overall the UK has less grass roots level of the far right but it really isn't all that different to the US.
