Oh wow, selling war, awesome!

Yeah, I've disrespected him numerous times, overlooked him for others and said the military base in his country is costing the USA millions and pointless, but no worries, we will work it out.

Yay! The Saudi's are rich and have feck loads of oil, they impress me so must be cool.

Erm..... Yeah, whatever the feck this means. I love the Prince! He has gold, and oil.

Feck my life!

There has been a purge of the rival Saudi princes, and it looks like during Trump's visit/Kushner's follow-up, they were told about this and are on board with it.
Frightening.

Yeah, I have been following it all but there are clear gaps, but as you say, frightening. Kushner visiting before Trump isn't a coincidence.

Some important details of how Trump's tax plan removes some of the most important middle class deductions especially those in expensive states like California and New York.

mortgage deductions

student loan debt deductions

She said the company was displeased she had used the image as her profile picture on Twitter and Facebook, and told her it violated social media policy and could hurt the company’s reputation as a government contractor.

Briskman said she pointed out that her social media pages do not mention her employer, and that the incident happened on her own time. She also said another employee had written a profane insult about someone on Facebook, but had been allowed to keep his job after deleting the post and being reprimanded.

Virginia, however, has “at will” employment laws, meaning private-sector employers can fire people for any reason.

It is a good example of the loss of freedom associated with employment.

I don't doubt that for a second. I don't think there is anyone like him in history. He has evaded more scandals than anyone ever, and many are serious, serious scandals. Just imagine if Obama had done 1/100th of what he had done. Pure insanity and until he gets his comeuppance he convinces me that karma is bullshit, not everyone gets what's coming to them and I would say the rich get away with everything but look at Harvey, Spacey and Cosby. It just seems Trump is untouchable.

Unbearable, hideous cnut.

Imagine if Obama had said it.

I'm lucky that my bosses don't check Facebook (mine is private) and they say what you do on your free time isn't company business. I'd probably be fired if I worked for some companies because I have no inner monologue. (No need to agree with me)

Can someone tell this buffoon to shut up? How is Virginia's economy been "terrible"? the average median wage is around $65-$75k a year to start and goes upto $100k+, admittedly it can be quite costly to live but that's just that area of the country and close proximity to the Capital but how is appointing a literal religious shitbag who think's Abortions should be banned is going to change that?

Then the Latino's do this

Except that her brother Eric Prince is about to run for the Senate in Wyoming.

So many times this has happened especially this year: I wish I was religious and could console myself by believing he will have a long sentence in hell.

There are two gubernatorial elections happening tomorrow and we've hardly had a chance to discuss those. If Dems lose Virginia, they should just give up this unity tour bollocks and go all in for one way. Either they go hard left with Sanders or go middle path, but reach out to rural people with a strong border message.

It's easy believing in trickle down economics when you've only known how it is on the top. This kind of capitalism worked fine in the roaring 20's and post WW2 when the rest of the world was bombed to shit, but not so much now. For all their talk about small business, all these tax cuts does is feeding the giants even more, without necessarily creating jobs or prosperity at home.

Just look at Nike and Amazon, the former makes all their product in Asian sweatshops and the latter have been the bane of countless of local shops

I read (think I posted it here too) that original article and then read a piece about it and it's supposedly 'sexist' undertones on WaPo. I thought about posting that in the "Has political correctness gone to far" thread, but couldn't be bothered, given the discussions going on there.

I still don't understand how looking like a "soccer mom" can be seen as derogatory, on the contrary, insinuating that it is is insulting to millions of women who raise their children themselves (including taking them to soccer practice....). That she's chunky is simply an observation, and to be fair to her, one of the kinder ones that come to mind to anybody who has seen her press briefings.

I mean Sean Spicer was being portrayed by a woman. How wasn't that an insult to his masculinity? Heard anyone complaining?

It's considered sexist because women are judged or commented on their physical appearance far more than men in professional jobs.

There's centuries of culture that makes us judge women so even liberal posters will refer to Kelly Anne Conway as 'Skeletor'. Anyone referred to Bernie as 'Skeletor'? No. How often is Trump's weight mentioned? Not much, even by those who dislike him.

Aside from anything focusing the coverage on critical physical appearance is at best irrelevant and at worst rude.

You mean like the fact that he's constantly laughed at for his tiny hands and his awful hair? At least you can do something about your weight, you can't do anything about genetics.

Trump's appearance, including his weight, skin, hair, hands, dress code, etc is mentioned frequently in this thread.

I'd fecking have a lawyer if the profound insult is true. Firing for speaking freely (constitution) and not having the company on her Facebook. I'd take them down to the bank and ask for a deposit.

What does the constitution have to do with how a private employer treats her freedom of speech?

So that makes up for centuries of one sidedness? Women are judged on their looks constantly, and it's very rarely an attack used against men.

To a degree his appearance does but not to the same extent, it doesn't make up the same percentage of comments. If we were to do a contextual analysis there would be a far lesser percent of comments about his appearance.

And this is a liberal environment so it's not conscious as I believe the posters aren't sexist. Contrast that with the right wing media which is overtly sexist.

I honestly hope Virgina does the right thing, Northam is up by about 8 points but its unfortunately quite close but there arnt many undecideds to vote, Gillespe is dangerous for Womens rights, my Poor Gf can't catch a bloody break after leaving Louisiana to come to Virginia where it's relatively sane to go back to that tripe.

Well trump does a lot of stupid things on a daily basis which are the typical target.

Edit: I'd also point out percent of posts about say Clovis.

What she does on her spare time should have no baring on her job. Add to that the same employer let someone else off with a slap on the wrist. But I get your point its a private employer.

Yeah, they deserve to get their asses kicked, but I don't think there's any means to unfortunately.

I suppose it depends on employment rights and whether she has or hasn't deemed to have broken her contract by a reasonable person. If she hasn't she has a case to challenge their decision and possibly receive compensation.

I do feel a little sorry for her but if you work for a company that does government contracts and then you go and use that as a profile photo acting like that towards the institution that provides your company work it’s only going to go one way.

Not the smartest move I agree but especially the government should be held to a higher standard regarding Constitutional Liberties.

It’s not the gouverment but a private entity contracted by the gouverment. I would have done the same, she’s done something potentially damaging the company. If it was yours and the guy you are subcontracted you wasn’t Trump but just some random ass you don’t like, wouldn’t you still expect your employees to act properly? This isn’t a freedom of speech issue, that’s simple employment law.

I also wonder why everyone seems to have forgotten „when they go low, we go high“
