Is it now finally too much? And is this the beginning of the fightback? The fact Pence has been so fecking quiet leads me to think he's busy planning an inauguration.

I gave this analogy to a girl-friend last year who was trying to make sense of the 2 candidates. It's like 2 kids, one's a teenage girl and the other's an infant. You will love either one if s/he's yours. With the teenage kid, you know she will be up to no good. You expect her to be sneaky behind your back, breaking a few curfews and whatnot. Potentially she can cause very big problems but you know at the core she's sensible enough to not go overboard.
With the baby, he can get all cute and lovable on first view and you lose all your good senses. But god, you will tear your eyes out when he shits all over the place, and it will be your mess to clean up.

Real or not, 70% of 7000 odd voters think there will be civil war if Trump is impeached, and what's worse is many are actively calling for it. I bet many are actively preparing for it too. I sincerely think that is why everything is taking so damn long and why the press are drip feeding stories rather than dropping it all at once AND why no action has been taken yet. It's bad enough that there are not adequate cheques and balances in place to prevent an unhinged mobster and his family from taking over the country, let alone the fact that it's not safe to remove them because of their fanatical, gun wielding fan base. As I and many others have said before, the USA really does need to learn some very harsh lessons from all this and has to work out how to prevent it from ever happening again.

I was at a bar with some buddies at the beginning of summer and heard a couple 60+ year old Trump loving jackasses discussing this. One was talking about how he doesn't move as well as he used to, the other telling him they don't have to be mobile, just efficient. I wanted to lean in and tell them they'd be fighting people like me, and I'm pretty efficient at 400-500 yards with a .30-06, so their asses wouldn't make it.
