I like how the fakest of all fake news breaks the story and the reliable FOX news uses them as a source

I heard Scorsese is bringing out a new crime thriller and is looking for 'Tough Guy Number 4'. It's got Mooch written all over it.

I think (hope) that the general officers in the US military have enough appreciation for its Constitution, not to do that.
I know Trump getting elected has broken all the norms of politics - but, a military coup is one thing I am sure will never happen.

Other than Trump being shot or just walking I can't see any other way. This is nuts for America. The US can't keep this guy in power.

Oh look, Trump is presenting someone who fought in Vietnam with the Medal of Honor.

This is interesting, since he said his own personal Vietnam was avoiding VD.

I don;t think something like that could happen either, but I do wonder what would happen if trump tries to start start military actions without any consultation with the houses and against miltary advice.

That would likely be the case for an attack on either NK or Iran.

Not a chance a coup will take place. It's not remotely realistic

The only chance is impeachment, and even that seems unlikely

He will bungle his way through the next 3.5 years

So Mooch gets hired, wanted Priebus gone and when that happens his replacement gets rid of him. This is just one big Armando Iannucci performance piece.

Although I could just watch the tape, I try to avoid watching Trump speak. Did he deliver prepared remarks? Were they shit?

He read from the autocue and didn't deviate. I think that's possibly the first time I have seen him do that for a very long time.

Ahhhhhhh "26% STRONGLY APPROVE!" #WINNING!

Can't spin this, Mooch.

Come on. There have been loads of stories posted in this thread by @langster alone that were simply opportunistic journalists telling Trump opposers vaguely plausible stories that they want to hear, that have either been entirely forgotten about - and are thus untrue, given the supposed gravity of the claims - or have been outright disproven. Just think how easy it is to make that up. Just look at how many conflicting stories there were about Priebus in the immediate aftermath.

The plausibility of it, the joy it brings its readers and the variety of similar examples of outright lying doesn't mean that this story is untrue, of course, but do we really need to jump on baseless claims when there's so much to look into that is supported by robust evidence?

Bloody hell. If this was a TV show then it'd have been criticised for being too dramatic.
