From Facebook, this is what my acquaintances who support Trump think of the transgender ban:

"LGB = sexual preference
T = gender dysphoria

Lumping mental illness together with sexuality makes zero sense."

All of them agree with Trump and it seems that transgender folks are the new punching bags for the alt right.

It's neither new or confined to the alt right.

Where they get this guy from? My Twitter feed is nothing but The Mooch right now, even accounts that normally have nothing to do with American politics. Just when you think they might hire a regular government suit post-Spicer, they hit you with another classic character for the ages.

Collins and Murkowski were hard no's. But McCain was supposed to vote along party lines. I think he voted no, but Republicans are not ending the vote, hoping to flip at least one No to Yes. That will be either Murkowski or McCain, but now it places huge pressure on Heller if he voted Yes as he'll be signing his political career good bye if he voted yes but the bill still didn't pass.
