Won't it?

I think large problem over last few years has been sensible people being too afraid to call the batshit people batshit. If you're eating your own crap it isn't beholden on me to pretend not to notice in case you think I'm being rude. This is why things like Brexit and Trump happen - sensible people largely being too polite to point out the insanity.

People called them batshit all the time. But being called batshit doesn't make them change their minds, which is exactly what is needed. If anything it strengthens their prejudice against 'liberals' and makes it harder for the opposing views to be discussed.

Wishful thinking. But i hope the Dems come to the table with Bernie's ideas on healthcare. It's very popular in the country.

Won't happen before 2018. Would be nice if the caucus pulled it's finger out and started serious work on some proposals that could pass in 2018/2020.

I'm in agreement... It just feels like enabling their wilful ignorance/stupidity...

Nothing any of us say is going to make them change their mind so why continue to bite your tongue in fear of offending them? Even when people from their own party, family members, etc. try to talk to them the shutters come down....

We try to get them to engage in here and what happens?

The only thing that will make them change their mind is the realisation that they backed a fraud, and let's be honest, some of them won't even believe it, they'll convince themselves otherwise...

Alex Jones was right. This is an info war. The number of evil people behind it, the ones who know exactly what they are doing and why they are doing it, is actually quiet small. Maybe only a few thousand at most. They've been playing a long game, Saul Alinsky style. But now we're on to them. We just need to keep red pilling the people in our lives and the people around us, watch over our children and our schools, and slowly they'll have no Useful Idiots to rely on any more

Yeah, reasoning and tolerance will work on such as this.

Don't get me wrong I'll still try (now and then) to reason with them (even the basket cases), but tolerate? Tolerate what? bigotry? xenophobia? sexism? selfishness? ignorance? I could go on...

"Red pilling" urge. I hate it. These people are just like Trump before he became president. Happy to sit and criticise, talking about how enlightened they are and how much better they could do things themselves. Completely devoid of any understanding about how difficult life actually is, especially being President of an entire nation.

Actually, that's still Trump now...

The irony being that Bannon being so out of shape and Ryan being quite fit for his age. You'd wonder which one has E.D.

Your premise is simply wrong. People can change their mind all the time. I agree that some are more likely to, than others but what exactly is your basis to say that nothing at all will change their minds? You go on to contradict yourself by saying that insulting them by all things can be effective. Something that seems unplausible anyway.

Who is the common Joe more inclined to listen to? The guy who is insulting them, or the guy who tries to find common agreement to build something. Everybody has been insulted here, how often did you notice yourself thinking about whether the insult is true or not?

We are engaging them here and the reactions from so called 'liberals' in here imo is mixed at best. There is always posters who think that insults of all rhetorical concepts are suited best to make their point.

No one is saying you shouldn't name xenophobia, racism and whatnot. An insult is a judgment, not a factual statement.

Where did I say that? I said I don't see the point in tip toeing thru fear of offending.

The answer is obvious, all goes out the window when people no longer accept anything that doesn't fit their world view tho.

Everybody has been insulted here, how often did you notice yourself thinking about whether the insult is true or not?

A few times? I'm open to self examination aren't you?

We are engaging them here and the reactions from so called 'liberals' in here imo is mixed at best.

Why wouldn't it be? A lot of people with a lot opinions post here. A mixture of opinions....

There is always posters who think that insults of all rhetorical concepts are suited best to make their point.

And that's fine by me. Different strokes...

That doesn't make sense, if I called a poster a moaning cnut, why can't that be a factual statement? (and a judgement if you like)

That's my first RICTR style multi quote, and my last probably...

Public hearing for Manafort and Jr.

Are we to expect more 'can't answer this in public' or will it not matter because neither are technically government/definitely not intelligence staff?

CNN showing Trump on the campaign saying there will be no gap between repealing and replacing, "not a 2 day gap, not a 2 year gap, a simultaneous repeal and replacement".

Now he supports the call to just repeal and worry about replacing it later.

Such winning.

Yea but you gotta give him time mate, be reasonable...

More speculation that Trump and Putin are doing shit behind the scenes and Trump is attempting to conceal it. Obviously not good for his prospects amidst collusion rumors.

Especially when they spoke for 2 1/4 hours when they were only scheduled for an hour. It just looks really suspect, especially because they didn't initially disclose this meeting.
