The likeliest scenario was that Don Jr. was hoping to get some kompromat on Hillary from the Russians (better known as collusion), and the meeting itself eventually got leaked out via the emails. The question now becomes how many more meetings were conducted and how many other communications (SMS/Phone/email/video conference) were done and haven't yet been reported. Also, since Kushner was in charge of Trump's data analytics operation, investigators are going to want to know how Russian bots managed to successfully microtarget in states like MI, WI, MN, and PA. If Kushner passed along analytics information to the GRU then that would take this to a brand new level.

I think he listened into the meeting. Its been claimed in the past that he listened into phone lines at Mar a Lago and has a history of recording conversations.

Also been claimed he recorded calls at Trump Tower and had at least 1 recording device in operation.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least. He will quickly find out that this isn't NYC tabloid media he's dealing with and all his recordings can be subpoenaed.

They lied about meeting with Russians. Meeting with a foreign gov to get dirty off of Hilary is very unethical and maybe illegal, But so far the media havent shown anything for me to say the trump camp colluded with the russian government in the whole DNC hack which is what we all thought they did in the first place. Not that it wont be proven but this is something different to what was first alleged

This Trump Jr meeting just adds another dimension to the Russia hacking stuff.

Investigations will go on to see what links there are to prove there was collusion/coordination between Russia/Wikileaks and Trump associates in the DNC hacking and emails leak.

The lawyer's still staying with Kushner to represent him on issues "relating to ethics and his security clearance form".

She's just not representing Kushner on the Russia investigation anymore, though thats an interesting development.

Imo the moderates will end up supporting it. The substantial cuts are so far in the future and will never ever happen. Even McConnell himself already said so. The Cruz amendment also turns out to lack any substance. So one less reason for them to oppose it. Few might do it for political reasons, but the number will be very small.

So it will be imo down to the right-wing of the party. They got no substance at all but some cover to still sell it. Not sure how principled they are and how much pressure is on them.

I said yesterday how great he was, he's been like this for months. Chris Wallace tries his hardest to toe the Fox line but he's too honest so he often speaks out too. To be perfectly honest, Shep is probably my favourite US news journalist/presenter. I just wish he was on another channel. I think he would work amazingly well alongside someone like Anderson Cooper.
 
Not suprising, but Trump supporters are always moaning about Shep and want him fired.

Reckon Fox give him the flexibility to be critical, so they can say to critics that they have varying and differing views on their network.

Ratings say otherwise. Most still flock to hardcore partisans like Maddow, O'Donnell and Hannity.

Old fashioned news anchor like Shep is a dying breed. They don't generate hype and they don't have a big loyal following.
