Just finished the UK version, was a great watch

Thoughts on finale:
thought Wilf's recruitment cost him at the end. Just kept a player in the game who knew he was a traitor with no realistic route to winning. The incoming betrayal was too obvious, too valuable to Wilf to get rid of a male traitor. Taking out Andrea right after recruitment was a smart move. Probably the only remaining player better disposed to Kieran than Wilf at that point, due to Amos. Kieran probably wouldn't have had his head in the game at that point, by the morning after he would have copped that he wasn't winning without Wilf really backing him strong. He was faithful for too much of the game to not be way more attached to them than wilf at that point and wilf didn't sell it enough. Quite the opposite, it was clear he was cannon fodder
 
Apparently there is an Australian version coming to the BBC next month.
 
The aussie version is much better than the US one in my opinion. It might have been my favourite out of the three I've seen.

I miss when people read the note saying they got murdered, and the post banishment debrief.

Watched the first 3 episodes last night.

I think the traitors are the least strategic of any series so far! Feel they needed to address the medium's naming by murdering one of the people she names – so as to discount the other names. As it is, I don't see how Angus will survive a banishment.

I also think more should have been made about the woman who claimed Jack outed himself as a traitor to her. If you spread that claim, and then are proved wrong, surely people should vote to banish that person?

Lastly, I think it's interesting that Claire's name has come up a few times already. In the other two versions, her equivalent character (older mother) seemed to escape any suspicion for most of the series.

I see Nigel going pretty far from that group.
Angus has such a guilty face whenever they challenge him as well. If the faithfuls stop getting involved in daft arguments he won't last long.
Claire's face on the first night :lol:. She did okay under questioning though, so I think that will serve her well.
 
That Angus desperation to try to get the immunity, can't believe he survived that.
Need to go back and check that whole Jack and Olivia thing, got her banished in the end.
Angus finally gone, not really surprising given he looked guilty as sin.
Matt constantly trying his best to look as dodgy as possible.
Some great work by Mark, though he would have survived if his fellow traitors hadn't sold him out. :lol:
Mark on fire, pushed for Claire and got her banished.
Now he's onto Marielle as well.
Traitors need to kill him off soon and hope people do the very typical thing of ignoring what he's been saying.

That was unexpected. The 3 traitors were almost at the point where they couldn't lose if they got through that banishment. Nigel not voting for Marielle makes him look suspicious now so he's surely done as well. I know he'd promised but at that point it was clear she had enough guaranteed votes to be banished so he should have gone with it.

Decent series so far though, nice to have some different tasks. The one where they had the chance to gamble with the money especially interesting, can't imagine how the others would have reacted if they'd lost it all :lol:

Completely shot herself in the foot with a needless and frankly odd lie.
Yeah, Nigel is now probably going to be under some suspicion due to his voting when I don't think anyone had really said much about him.

The whole Kate/Teresa plotting thing was so funny.
 
A 2nd recruit and at this stage of the game? I have no idea why they do this. Tips the scales too far for the traitors, it would take a monumental mess up from here for them to lose.
Also Alex selling both of the others out :lol:

Both of them could have just voted Craig off and split the money, end up trying to stab each other in the back and Alex walks away with it.
That late 2nd recruitment spoiled the series a bit tbh, hard enough to spot a single recruit halfway through the game nevermind another a few steps from the end. Was a very good series though.

Completely agree! You could see Craig was devastated when the realisation hit home! Although at least at that stage there was nothing he could do - it's not like he had a 50-50 chance of winning half the money!

I can't believe Alex and Kate wouldn't agree to split the money. They would have had a guaranteed share of the pot, bt instead gave themselves a 50-50 chance of getting nothing – all depending on who Crag voted for. Alex is absolutely cut-throat though - fair play to her!

I preferred this series to the American one, but feel that the UK was still the best. I think the Aussie traitors (bar Alex) were the weakest. Feel that they chose the wrong person to murder pretty much every time!!

I agree having another traitor so late ruined it slightly but I guess they wanted to make sure there would be at least 1 for the final episode. Alex was quite ruthless when getting the opportunity so probably deserved to win.

Nigel predictably couldn't recover from not voting Marielle, his defence after that wasn't great and actually made him look more guilty. Marielle herself got too confident with the unnecessary lie, was a little similar to the guy in the US version who announced he'd rejected the chance to be recruited which led to his downfall. Surprised Claire lasted as long as she did because her face after they were chosen pretty much gave it away.

I bloody love Nigel. Matt is a mess.
Also who’s feeding Mark information because that guy’s gut instinct is too good :lol:

About the Kate and Alex thing. I get it honestly. Kate has just watched Alex vote to banish Marielle and Nigel, there was zero reasons to trust her. Her best chance was sticking with Lewis and get people to vote Craig out but she realised too late that Alex and Craig were too close for her to stand a chance. Alex played a great game, as did Kate. They were both worthy winners in my eyes.

Been watching the Aus version. About 7 episodes in.

Mark was absolutely laser focused on purely traitors. Unreal :lol: I can see Nigel escaping suspicion for a bit longer but not sure if he makes the end
 
The old guy (Paul?) is the biggest coaster I’ve ever seen. Man has said about three words on camera in 8 episodes so far :lol: what is up with that.

I always forgot he was there until they get in the banishment room. The only time I saw him speak was when he was naming his vote.

I still haven’t understood the purpose of the clairvoyant. That was weird af and then the way she left with a mic drop as if she cracked the code to the game :lol:

I know he had no chance of winning but damn. He was clearly kept around because of how trusting he was and should’ve realised earlier that the people closest to him were the ones trying to manipulate him. Alex played it pretty well on both sides and Kate was great as a Faithful. Didn’t have much to do end game and obviously had to try and betray.

I think they need to add some system that rewards good faithfuls more because the likes of Midy, Mark and Kate get targeted for being good at the game. As with the UK version you end up with the gullible fools at the end who have a chance of winning the money.

mark was an excellent player and that’s sort of the problem with this show at times, which is often it’s the best players that are gone, if they’re faithfuls.

Marielle played a great game until that lie which was just silly. Great tv though with Kate and Teresa doing that.

Having Nigel as a traitor almost feels like cheating given his background :lol: think him and Alex will win it now.

it’s not fair but they have to. If Alex gets eliminated in the next episode then they’ve no finale. 2 traitors guarantees the game goes to the end. I guess that’s why it’s a bit flawed as a concept. The producers clearly have to manipulate things to keep it going and dramatic.

Nigel was a great traitor but his silly loyalty to Marielle, who was happy to sell other traitors out, fecked him at the end. She was doomed and he should’ve voted her.

Yeah, still an odd reason for such a brutal cut out of the show. Surely he said some stuff they could use?

It gave me me big "we found out this guy's a nonce shortly after filming" vibes.

I suppose it's an issue if they've made it with a set amount of episodes in mind, but then they've sort of missed the point of the game then.

Alex was a pretty poor faithful, but very good as a traitor.
 
They could try and introduce faithful roles, like bodyguard. Without making them too OP though because I do think they get a massive advantage in real life compared to WW because they get to see every reaction and spend time with the people.

Yeah, I think my main issue with it is that the only way for good players to make it far in the game is as traitors. If they're faithfuls they're just booted out as soon as they start sussing anyone out. Mark got booted out as soon as he started figuring the traitors out and in the English one the three biggest idiots ended up winning it.
