(The Times) Arsenal's Alexis Sánchez and Mesut Özil want to leave

I would love Sanchez at United. Sadly it will never happen, but my god what a fecking player he is.

His best form came under him imo. Spoke about it in his book how Jose didn't take his bullshit.

Yes, and for a low fee it could be a small risk with a big upside.

He is not what we need. But Sanchez . We should atleast try our luck with a 50-60m bid.

I agree, I would prefer Sanchez. I was just thinking of something low cost which maybe could be an under the radar signing that could have a big upside.

If we're going to drop £40m+ on Perisic, we might as well test Arsenal with £50m, and see where we land. I can't see us losing anything by trying, and we'd defo be more willing to meet a high asking price than Bayern or Juve.

At Madrid the president has a large part in who plays and who doesn't. He also had the best defence in the world at Real to make up for Ozil's defensive deficiencies.
That doesn't mean Ozil didn't play well under Mourinho though.

I don't want him here if I'm honest, not that Arsenal will sell to us.

We should just go all out and sign Sanchez, Griezmann and Lukaku and call it a day. Who needs midfielders and defenders with that much firepower on top.

We should actually sign Ozil if we can get him on a knock down fee
No way. Definitely not the type of player I want to see at United. He's a fanny who will give up in tough games when things aren't going well.

Sanchez and Griezmann would solve all our goal scoring problems by themselves.

If we want to do well in Europe and win the PL we will need bolstering in each department.

Really?

I'd take Sanchez in a heartbeat if it wasn't for his age.

He's 28 (29 in December) - his age wouldn't concern me one jot, you'd get 3/4 solid years out of him. And in that time, if he helped you to win both domestically and in Europe, the club wouldn't care less if his sell on value has depreciated, because his contribution will have paid for itself.

Never understood the age fascination, particularly in today's game. Look after yourself and you can continue to operate at the top, well into your early thirties.

Great player. When he can be arsed. I don't like his attitude.

One of his biggest assets is that he always tries, he always chase the defenders. He sulks because Arsenal aren't winning - but he is pretty much allowed to do so. Look at Ronaldo, he is the same and he just wants to win.

I hope we at least give it a try and make a bid of 80m or something lilke that for Sanchez.

He is the perfect player for Mourinho and world class, it's very difficult to find players of his quality in the market.

People go over the top about age. Our best player this season was 35. Sanchez is in great shape, always has been. I say throw money at Wenger, lots of it. Sanchez and griezmann, that's the kind of front line that will win the league and scare the pants off of people in the champions league too.

He sulks because he's a bitch. His attitude has absolutely stunk at times, I've no time for players like that.

CF Griezmann
Ozil
Pogba Herrera
Fabinho

Would be a pretty tasty diamond..

Both would be awesome. They're both outstanding players, Alexis in particular would improve us a lot.

Don't want us anywhere near Ozil. He's a luxury player we can't afford to cater for. PSG could and should.

Think Mahrez would be a great addition for Arsenal and if he shows the Leicester or more of 15/16, he'd be a serious asset no much the way Mane has been for Pool.

Sanchez should go to Bayern imo but can't fault the shot at City if he takes it either. He wouldn't suit us. He's not the player of 2 or 3 years ago that works hard and busts a gut anymore. He's more cerebral and clinical with less defensive impact. His game is adapting a la Cristiano and we can't cater for him either in our current setup.

Don't think I've ever seen Sanchez not arsed? Certainly he gets really frustrated and his little squat on the pitch is annoying, but in a team he actually believes in he'd be immense. Hell, he was still immense in a struggling Arsenal team last season.

We probably won't given we have a more structured approach now, but I think we should chance our arm at Sanchez. Worst case they'll just reject.

Assumed you were talking about Ozil. Surprsied to scroll up and see this is about Sanchez.
He's worse for going missing, yea, Sanchez it's his little hissy fits and strops that would bug the shit out of me. He seems to think he's bigger than the club. It's funny to see whilst he's at Arsenal, but I wouldn't want him near United.

Ed get on the blower get us Sanchez if there is any chance of us getting him...

Don't want either.
Why? I think Sanchez would suit us down to a tee. A fighter on the pitch as well who always gives his best. The kind of player SAF would have loved. He can take the RW spot with Mkhi on the left. There will still be plenty of games for Martial/Rashford/Mata to play in.

Which times are these? I don't recollect him ever really giving up on the pitch. He always eggs his teammates on.
