It's about moving forward. Last year they fell away to 3rd in what many believed was a 2horse race. This year they'll comfortably come 2nd, and also reached the FA semi.
It's about moving forward.

Next year is huge. Fall away a bit, and see the Wembley curse carry on and THEN you could easily see a bit of itchiness in their top boys. As well as in Pocc himself

I'm not on a WUM but I just don't see top players, which undoubtedly they have, will take solace in Spurs finish well but falling short again with nothing. Dismal in Europe too.

It can't carry on. They badly needed silverwear.

Chelsea will deservedly be champions but it still doesn't stop the fact Spurs should be praised for even making a title race, albeit briefly. Their run reigned Chelsea back in from a Leicester-like advantage. Without them, this would have effectively been done in March.

Can't speak enough how highly I rate Pochettino.
I'm in the minority... his lack of winning anything puts me off tbh. A great coach.... maybe not such a great manager..?
I dunno, I guess we'll see in the coming seasons..

I don't understand people using the fact that they haven't won anything as a stick to beat them with. Look at their spending, look at their wage structure? It's far below the other clubs.
If Poch had the resources of the other clubs, I'd back him to win the league. He's a seriously good coach.

Yeah that's all fair enough but Spurs are never going to have those resources.

This team isn't going to be together for a long time and I think Pochettino will be off too. They need to win something whilst they still have a great manager and a very good team.

Spurs are arguably the best team in the league right now, irrespective of Chelsea winning the league. They'll get stronger next year, I see no reason for their players to move on.

The manager, players and fans didn't want to win. Players aren't showing determination to win it, manager didn't start Dembele which gives me a question mark why??, the fans left before even reached the injury time. Lack of winning mentality in my opinion.
Dembele has been carrying an injury for awhile.

I would like to see if they can reach 80 points. It's the minimum required to be a team who fight for the title.

Well let's hope so. They are looking a bit too polished for my liking, and disappearing would be a good result!

Nah. You can't put them immune from criticism. They have made some poor signings too. They aren't paupers.

His team is good enough to win the FA cup this season and to beat Gent/Genk in the Europa league

It's hard to know if he would do better with lots of money. He spent £60m on Sissoko, Njie and Jansen. Could be another manager who isn't that great when given big money to spend (Like Moyes and LVG)

I think that's the more likely worry for Spurs fans, the manager going elsewhere.

He holds it together, and if he goes, it could easily slip down a gear.
I don't think their top players already on 100k a week would be in too big a rush to move, in their early 20s.

All I can say is stay away from Dier. He really isn't anything special.

He also bought Wanyama. Some come off, some don't. It's the same for every manager.

Dude, we just won 8 league games in a row before this.

Now if we finish like we did last year then there should be criticism, but it's a little OTT to go off of one game.
But it's not just one game - with the form you're in, it's a game you should win. It's also a game that would take you within 1 point of Chelsea and put some pressure on them. It was a massive game imho.
Anyway, if you're happy that's fine.

Not sure I agree about them being the best team.

Also they got stronger than last year but still have no trophy to show for. What if they'll be good next year too but again fail to win anything.

They go another season without winning anything, seeing players like Lingard on 100k a week with numerous winners medals in his collection. Tough to see them not having their head turned.

Players are hungry and careers aren't long.

Trust me. They won't stick around if things don't improve.

Depends how it goes next year I guess. If they keep blowing teams away like they have been then they won't be far off doing something.

We have had a bit of bad luck as it's the first year Chelsea have had no European football for years, also same with Leicester last year. Next season will be better for us as everyone will be in Europe again. As long as we play well in Wembley of course which is the big unknown

Yeah, but they've been doing that last year. Of course they look better this year but at some point they need to win something to prove their worth. Their star players won't wait forever for that.

Yeah but you'll be in Europe too as you said yourself. :D
Leicester one year, Chelsea next, some other club the 3rd year and time goes on.

Yeah but we have been in Europe when the teams that won the league in past two years didn't, so it will be more even in that respect

I think they'll all give it at least another season regardless.

Some will look at what Gareth Bale and Luka Modric have achieved and think 'I want a slice of that pie'
And to add to that Spurs don't exactly pay what other top clubs are paying for their stars.

Scenes when Spurs finish third in a two horse race, again.
Would be hilarious, though Spurs would have to lose all their remaining matches while Man City / Liverpool would have to win all theirs.

Spurs: Man Utd (H) Leicester (A) Hull (A)
Man City: Crystal Palace (H) Leicester (H) West Brom (H) Watford (A)
Liverpool: Southampton (H) West Ham (A) Middlesbrough (H)

Why did he even play him even if he's injured? Again give me another big question why the manager is playing a player who is carrying an injury unless if he's not actually injured.

Because we have nobody else due to Winks injury. Sissoko is a donkey.

Great season for them. Good job for making it interesting for a few weeks.

What an excuse though. You spent big on Sissoko so you can use him to cover injuries in midfield not bench him for an injury player.
