Cue the 'another poor performance from Spurs' line that gets trotted out after a Spurs loss, followed by 6-7 pages of discussion about how shit Pogba is, we're absolutely brassic and our stadium is falling down. Can't wait.

Taking off Dembele was a very poor decision. They lost all shape and composure, and replacing him with inexperienced Winks who looks tidy but still contributes very little.

It's between them and Chelsea.
No, it's not even close, at least not recently. Chelsea players would much rather resort to behind the scenes politicking when things aren't going their way. They lost a lot of games last season and not once did they resort to the outright collective petulance on the pitch the way Spurs have shown lately, the prime example being the game at Stamford Bridge last season. The amusing thing about that match and the one today is that they still had lots of time to get a result in their favour, but instead chose to throw their toys out of the pram like a bunch of babies. And it's not even like they need to be provoked by the opposition. I remember even in the game against City, when they were getting battered and were down 2-0, they started getting nasty and petulant, but then they scored a goal and went back to playing football again.

They appear to suffer from some sort of collective delusion that they're a winning machine meant to be revered and feared by all before them. Like they're thinking "BUT WE'RE TOTTENHAM HOTSPURS! YOU DON'T DO THIS TO US!".

Except, they're Tottenham Hotspurs. And they do it to themselves.

From a Spurs forum tonight:
That's probably said in jest, but there's truth in it. The never-ending cycle of teams having to make sure they end up in European qualifying positions, even at the cost of performances in those very European competitions sometimes. It seems an excercise in futility, unless you're actually good enough to achieve something in a European competition.

Dembele wasn't playing well at all, at least with Winks he will pass forward and keep the ball moving. Dembele slows us down when having a bad game.

Heh

Never ever go on the Fighting Cock, it's the RAWK of Spurs forums.
It's pretty bad on there yep.

But tbh, a lot of them admit that Spurs always bottle it and that Spurs are desperate for a trophy.

You will never read that at RAWK.

They actually used to be my 'favourite' team of the other big teams. The ones I disliked the least. But they have been so petulant and thuggish over the past two seasons whenever they are losing. Their behaviour is disgusting and some of the Spurs fans on here have the audacity and temerity to say that they just have character and are getting stuck in  Tribalism at its finest.

Spurs can't expect to win if we score an own goal and have a man sent off for a reckless tackle ... simple as that. We shot ourselves in the foot.

Poch must improve at getting results in Europe, but it's reasonable to think he can do that. The lack of depth in the squad is the primary issue which needs to be addressed this summer for Spurs.

And we were told that was what was being addressed last summer.

I think they'll end up losing Poch this summer, which will be a further two steps back for them.

No chance he leaves this summer unless Barca come calling. Which won't happen as they'd have to pay a fairly large compensation fee.

He's doing a good job. European football isn't easy. He's still young. He'll learn.
