Actually demonstrates that the new wages has impacted the bigs clubs the most. I'm more annoyed because Steven said that it would help smaller clubs when I actually can't see how that can be correct tbh. Perhaps small clubs in Div1, but those in lower Divs can't surely?
Could he be referring to the bigger clubs needing to sell due which in turns lets smaller clubs get these players on the cheap? I cant see how I can take an extra hit of 800k every week.
But the small clubs would have to then pay the wages of the big players which they won't be able to afford.
Ofcourse, I'm saying that assuming the relook that he's talking about makes it a better situation for smaller clubs financially. It wont help anyone if no one can afford them.
But lets assume that you decide to take the hit and sell Robben. Realistically, only United could buy him because of his £223,200 per week wages! To put it into perspective, if I wanted to break even my entire squads wages would need to be £1,103,439. Robbens wages is like almost a quarter of that! I'm not really sure how small clubs are meant to make money while also remaining competitive.
I agree. Robben's wages should be halved. I'll go tell them on the forum

no. we're all fecked. when can we have the rich economy?

Erm....
@MJJ bought Calhanoglu for £1.8M, now worth £32M
@JB7 bought Verratti for £1.3M, now worth £32M
^
Not sure if AI could even afford them

Which mean you can only trade them among a small handful of big clubs, or wait until their value drop before you can sell them to elsewhere
The only thing that could help is to have new economy system: TV income equally distributed to smaller clubs so that they can compete for better players
Assuming the increase in income can cover the wages cost of course

Either way, good luck to everyone
Na na na, no listen to green smiley, he is wumming, na na na

Player wages increased by £9,498
22nd: £811,550
29th: £821,048

TV revenue increased by £44,035
22nd: 294,742
29th: 338,777

Profit!

Your other incomes should be up too. Div1 got 34% increase, will find out other Divs tomorrow. Your wages will get out of control fast though given how many of your players are rising. Welcome to the club!

I will worry if any of them hits 88 or above, which should take at least few more seasons

Look at Chelsea.
March will be the first time i take a real hit to my standing, otherwise i expect the youngsters to keep going like sanchez who i nearly sold until google called me an idiot for even thinking that, i expect some of the others to get loaned in January.

outside of this i expect kranevitter to make an impact at A. Madrid with tiago being injured

Think you're right Varun. If you add cups etc I'll be losing 15m a Season atm. But the issue is that when players get rating rises the wages will therefore obviously increase as well!

Ironically, the only clubs that are going to have substantial cash I think will end up being the Clubs that get the hand me outs. I just think it's all very backwards that they're punishing managers that have constructed good squads by then forcing them to sell. Take my club as an example, if you add up all my players wages of 88 and higher (17 players) it comes to £1,146,100. My estimated break even wage should be at £1,103,439, so i'm already over my wage budget with just 17 players. Neymar and Lewandowskis wages result in 34.4% of my wage limit.

So the only way I think I can make money is do what i'm doing currently and then just having to sell a batch of players each season to nullify the loss. I guess it's not so bad because to break even i'd basically have to sell 2 87 rated players which would bring me in a minimum of £8m each. But it's not a strategy that would work for new managers as I've got a nice even spread of ratings in my squad meaning that i'm always able to replace players I do sell. But thats taken like 2 and a half years to get my squad to that point!

Perhaps the Season Ticket money or Prize money needs increasing to help balance the wages out. /shrugs

Yup, if things remain as they are, no one is really going to benefit unless you actually play with 5 less players than you own and keep using those 5 to make you 15mil every season and break even. Problem is, there aren't close to that many risers given how many managers we have in the league so it'll result in bidding wars for then and you end up paying high which reduces the profit you make. I hope the info about the GW economy is made clear because if things remain as they are, no one would benefit, not even the smaller clubs. The cash injections are just plain daft, I said it right when they were introduced. You are going to end up with managers that do what LB do is, overpay intentionally for players to keep getting injections. Encourages poor management. Don't think selling off 2 good youngsters every season is the way to go though, smaller clubs can't even do that but even for us, it'll destroy the squad soon. Better to go the riser route that I said imo.

Don't worry, Damien will increase the economy level next season. Wages problem hit Div 1 clubs more than others

Yes, in the short term. In the long term, everyone gets fecked if we can't get the revenues up for everyone. It's going to be a disaster though with our seasons just started, losses galore. feckers.

Just got me thinking, @RedSky @Damien and Ben + Sparky, imagine if this new valuation system had been in place when we introduced FFP, We'd have atleast 100mil or so more in the bank now. Each of us sold about 40-45 players.

Which one is correct, the condition level on the squad page, or the tactics page?

If based on squad page, it is as though the players have never recovered from the previous match

Going by what @Damien said, the squad one is the actual fitness levels at the time you see them while the tactics page one is how they are likely to be when the match starts.

Fecksake.

Yeah. Was the case on the old UI.
How much is the variance in the numbers shown on the tactics page and the actual level come match time? Any idea? Or will the squad page am hour before KO give the exact number?

Shouldn't be that much generally on the day of the match. But yeah, squad page an hour before KO should give you pretty much exact number.

Meanwhile, the Baba thread on the caf makes for good reading.

I watched the game last night and he wasn't that bad, wasn't even at fault for the goal. It's just Gol who for a Chelsea fan seems to hate everything about Chelsea at the moment.

It is shocking how bad Chelsea are though. They just look totally disorganised at the back, probably doesn't help that Jose continually switches the back four around.

The comments on The Shed End aren't that great either.

I think they're just ranting, it's the same on every thread tbh. If you look at Chelseas season, only Willian can really hold his head high and even his form has dipped a wee bit recently. Problems with the Manager not the players.

This guy [Zouma] along with Willian are the only positive things so far this season. I really hope we get Stones because i think Stones and Zouma would compliment each other really well.

I don't even think Zoumas been all that good lately either Damien, I've watched the last 4 Chelsea games now (because I love watching them drop points) and Zoumas been an issue at the back. He can't even have the excuse of not playing much, he's played pretty much every game for Chelsea this season. They're also deluded into thinking that buying Stones would solve any issues, the problems are at manager level not player level.

What team are they up to in the Ligue 1 review, and what did you say was the usual order for the big 5 leagues?

They've reviewed/reviewing:

Troyes
Ajaccio
Bordeaux
Lille
Montpellier
Reims
Bastia
Toulouse

You can forget normal order Damien as they normally review Eredivisie and Liga 1 before Ligue 1.

Not too surprising though given Cahill and he generally haven't paired well together and Terry has deteriorated a fair bit. I'm inclined to agree with you. Mourinho teams are known for their defensive solidarity but thats not there at all this season

So with the youth table the points I'll be losing from players ageing during December:

Karim Rekik (20/86) - turned 21 on 2 Dec
Anthony Martial (19/87) - turned 20 on 5 Dec
Raheem Sterling (20/90) - turns 21 on 8 Dec
Santi Mina (19/85) - turns 20 on 17 Dec

1.2 points lost from players getting older.

Yup, you might say that it's because Terry and Ivanovic have both plummeted in form at the same time. But i'm not even sure that's true, the Chelsea games I've watched this season they've been getting the basics wrong. CB's failing to cover fullbacks, not tracking runs, failing at set pieces, being caught up the pitch. These are the types of mistakes that can be ironed out in training and yet for whatever reason they're still struggling at the back and we're half a season in now. Yesterdays goal was a GK issue, not a huge amount you can do about that, but the marking at that set piece was awful.

Then you look at the obvious morale issues they have in the dressing room. The inability to finish moves upfront, the complete lack of width in their play. All of these are issues that the management should be fixing.

I'll be losing Vietto who's turned 22. I've gained Bensebaini who's gone to 82 today. You'll be fine at the top this month unless I get some crazy reviews (which I won't).
